118.6 times 12 = 1423.32 shortfall
Plan of attack:
£131 x 2 for 2 spare ctax months = £262
Grocery budget aim £250 = £600 over the year
Holiday £148 deposit paid forgot that in calc (1200 total budget - 620 cost = rest spending money) = 148
Entertainment is mine and OH general spends in a month so hope to save £20 a month = 240
sub total: 1250 - 173.60 shortfall to be made up by trying to be present neutral in 2009 via ebay, carboots, quidco and other voucher sites this should help the £50 a month budget.
None of this included repaying od or the monthly cost so need to factor that in as well ...bother.:j0 -
aww hugs for you...awful when you sit and work it all out isnt it! Dont forget you have your body shop stuff you can flog to make extra...is there no way oh can do some work, even a few hours in tesco would make a difference...at least you start the new year knowing whats what and ready for the year ahead! You'll do fine but we both need to try and knuckle down as there has been slippage ths year...hugs for you! here is you want a natter!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Thanks it does look bad doesnt it. I should be harsh and cancel the holiday but I would hate to do that. I dont wantthekids to miss out on stuff although they arent going to get the fancy holidays abroad their friends seem to get.
I do have some BS stuff to sell and various bits from some recent decluttering so hope that will help. Not sure whether to keep up BS I think thats where I ended up losing focus and spending more so will see.
Thinking of having the moneyjars about for the various budgets such as kids, me and OH. Want to bin cc but if I do that I have no money for the month. It would add loads to the od. Need to think about and find a way to get round it. May be a balance transfer?
Shame share prices are so rubbish last yuear could have get a few hundred out now its not worth it,:j0 -
It doesent look that bad and lets face it we've seen worse! You need to be honest with the bs stuff and if its not making money theres no point...your debts could be worse and I would just keep chipping away at them as you are...the holiday is something you'll have to consider - stress of no money vs need for holiday...I havent had one the last couple of years and its done me no harm although do actually need one this year so mum and I will have a cheap n cheerful...its always a tricky one...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I say keep the holiday, ok, it may seem like spending extra money or money that could be used for debts, but from what I've seen / read of your posts u are one of the most dedicated debt busters there is. Ok the holiday may not be 2 weeks away in the caribean, but whether its a weekend camping, or week in a caravan or what ever, you need that break, think of it as a treat for everything you have done.
I dont know how the bodyshop parties work, but if you seem to be buying out more stock for the parties, then u r actually making, then is it worth it, Would it maybe worth keeping bodyshop on the back burner as this time of the yr is always quiet, if not sell the items on ebay, as most things saying Bodyshop fly out well.
Excuse the ramblings xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi KP
New Year New Start...I know that once 2009 is here you'll be raring to go. Look at you already with your SOA. See, now that's motivation.
I need to get myself into gear too and I'm going to start posting back on my diary. It definately helps.
2009...onwards and upwards!

Thanks dizzy the diary does help. Applied for a citibank cc that hopefully will let me do a £2k lob transfer at 5.8% no charge. That way I can cut up cc use OHs clubcard instead for points and go with cash only.
Look foward to reading your diary to see how you get on with getting rid of that last cc balance.:j0
