  • Everybody - take it as easy as you can - you need to be fit and well over Xmas - not down with any lurgy. 2 weeks today it will be all over and done with.
  • Hi KP...don't worry too much about the budget, Christmas has a knack of creeping up on us every year, which we know is crazy because we have 12 months to plan for it!
Just think how much you would have spent if it hadn't been for this forum.
Hope all is going well and we all have a good week.
Counting down to Christmas now...:xmastree: so exciting :D

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

  • Also to add so sad news. Boxing day round inlaws cancelled as step FIL in hospital from 23rd to 26th. Took long enough for them to finalise a date that should have passed by now . OH mentions they fear cancer may have spread to bowel but wont know until they open him up.

Last time I heard that my Dad lived two days after the op so Im a bit apprehensive and trying not to fear the worst. I have tried to be open with kids without scarying them because I hated that I was in the dark as a child. Now DD2 crying and asking if Grandad will die in 2009 and that was before todays update.

MIL coming to ours for dinner christmas and to SILs for Boxing day so hope the children will help her get through.

Ant way thats the latest spurlge of info. Had a good day other than that. Nearly all done with shopping. Budget still out the window but cant be bothered to fuss too much at the moment. I think in the end Ill may have added £2k to my debt for the last six months of 2008. Still better than the start to progress has been made.

Sending big hugs, Im so sorry that its all hit home at Christmas, do hop FIL goes on ok, fingers crossed they have caught it in time, at least you have been honest with ur children, and u can all find support from others.

on the positive you have done well with ur xmas prezzies, you should pop over to the thrify 2009 thread, its the combined money neutral challenge and organised xmas, there some great ideas, bragin hunting and we all support each other over the dreaded cost of christmas. x
