Hi Wendy, sorry to hear about your mum but glad that the doctors know what the problem is. The earlier they diagnose a problem the quicker they can treat it. Big hugs to you and your family and I'll send an extra hug for your mum. xxx0

Hi there
Well, as Girl Racer said, at least they know what it is... I hope the treatment is effective. All the best to you.

Thank you ISOM, it would be great to actually meet my friends on here.
OH has been great considering he had barely slept for the last few days. Saw Mum briefly earlier but my Aunts showed up so didnt stop long - only two to a bed.
She was much brighter, no respirator, able to eat and drink. Still not able to get out of bed yet. She will stay in ccu until Oxford call for her when they are ready to operate.
I finally ran out of puff at 9.20 ish last night. Fell asleep on the couch cus I was trying to spend a bit of time with OH. I had been out Mon and Tues and he had his friend on the Wed. I was that asleep he couldnt wake me up lol!
Long day today but work went ok. Feeling more upbeat about Mum because each time I see her she looks a lot better.
Its been great having people thinking of her and me. Work have been great saying I can take time off when needed so thats useful.
Money wise - the bank balance looks ok. Still need to reclaim to £280  and the cc balance this month is probably higher than it should be. That I am hoping will be covered or at least helped by the body shop parties coming up.:j0 -

Hi Wendy, glad you mum is doing OK. I know it's still stressful for you but she really is in the best place and hopefully there'll be a bed for her in Oxford soon. Make sure you take care of yourself, cos if you run yourself into the ground you'll be no good for anyone.

Thats brilliant news re mum, bigs hugs 4 u all. You need to take care of yourself as well, remember the old saying "Rome wasnt built in a day", yes ok, your finances may be a bit out of control, ur credit card a bit higher, but its just a glitch, and there is a genuine reason behind it, if it was £120 on the must have Ugg Boots, then that would be different, but it isnt, plz dont beat urself up this month, from where I am, you are an absolute credit, not to yourself, but to your family, and an inspiration to a lot of us out here.
U take care.
Im sure I speak on behalf of all of us, one way and another were all here for you . xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hiya Wendy...what a scary time that must have been for you. We always think our parents are invincible don't we? Really pleased that she's more herself. You need to make sure you look after yourself and get lots of sleep. Good to hear OH is giving you some support too, hope he's making you lots of cups of tea/coffee...and don't feel guilty about it!!
I'd love to meet my friends on here too. I know they do have meet ups but I'm not really that into huge social events like that but just meeting my cyber friends I've got to know on here would be lovely. We can camp in your tent Wendy and drink copious amounts of wine under the stars
Big hugz and take care of yourself.
