Hello
Still not much to report but some bad news. I blew £50 in Tescos at 5.30 this morning for my Mum. Got woken up at 2 with a message that she was in hospital. When I got there we ( Sis and Bro) were told that she may not make it. Severe breathing problems - by the time we left at gone 5 she was stable in the intensive care ward under sedation waiting for a CT scan. Could be a lung illness or a clot. She needed toiletries so brought everything I could think of to help and make her feel better when she wakes up.
Couldnt really sleep when I got back. Rested a bit and now getting kids ready for school.:j0 -
So sorry to hear this... I can understand spending £50, of course. Sending lots of hugs your way.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thank you both
I rang the hospital she has had the scan and the doctors were just about to see her. No news other than stable, at least no deterioration. Taken the day off and rearranged tomorrow so Im not on the road.
Now planning to take a bath and try to sleep. Dont feel at all tired but I need to or Ill be worn out later.:j0 -
Thats right, I'm glad you're planning ahead on things like that - its a cliche when someone is as ill as your mum, it'll do her no good if you make yourself ill with the waiting - she'll need you soon, actively. Hope you can manage to get some sleep.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hello
Back from the hospital. Mum has a blocked heart valve or something. Basically its from the smoking and is what has caused the lack of oxygen. She is likely to need an Op and may be moved to the main hosiptal in Oxford.
She is awake and talking. Still weak but fully aware of everything. Tired still and wanting a cup of tea! Will head back tomorrow pm to see her. Her sister is coming up tonight for some company.
Thank you for your support everyone hopefully its just a case of waiting for her to get better now.:j0
