good to hear that mum feeling a bit better. If I remember correctly the hosp in oxford is a good one?
Like others would love to meet up but not in huge groups...def up for a mini meet! Problem is where do people live and coordinating ...I think GR is near to me (if ya want to come!!) so that could work but unsure where others are...know KP is oxfordish (beautiful area!)....where are others?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Good news on your mum, KP - you must have been *so* deeply asleep for your OH not to be able to wake you up, hope you've had a good sleep in bed last night.
Meeting up.... I'd love to.... I'm way down on the south coast, but there are through trains that travel up to Watford Junction (!!!) and Milton Keynes etc. I'll go where the people are...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Its the John Radcliffe a good hospital with the best facililities (although some could say at the expense of the smaller hospitals). Just a wating game now. Mum again much better/stronger. In a chair and most tubes taken out. Most are in just for the op. Probably be moved to a main ward soon just hoping it isnt the one my sis was in. The hospital staff have always been good except for this one ward a couple of years ago.
OK night last night woke up at midnight with a coughing fit so watched tv downstairs for a couple of hours before heading back. Dozed again this morning. Other than a quick Tesco shop and seeing Mum done nowt today.
Mini meet sounds great, I dont mind travelling even to southcoast or Wales. I am guessing I may be the most central. Im in North Oxforshire in betwen London and Birmingham. Would Reading be a good point becasue of the large train station?:j0 -
Glad your mum is doing well KP - you must have needed your sleep!

Im easy on venue tbh....
Good to hear that she is doing better KP...JR is a world renowned hosp me thinks so she is in the best place! As for not doing much - seriously you do expet an awful lot of yourself - most of us would have done nothing at all - never mind a shop after the week youve had! Just get some rest grial and a good nights sleep - you'll find it much easier to cope n these difficult times.
hugs for you!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hello
Well moneywise I am off the wagon. Booked a half price Butlins holiday which is a great price but still £600 with a £150 deposit now. Also got a kitty cat, He is 9 weeks old and looking for a home. OH let me see him and we couldnt resit so spent about £50 so far. Still got the vet to arrange, jabs and pet insurance. He is called Scratch and it lovely. Our other cat is very miffed unfortumately.
Not idea what the cc balance is I dont want to look!
Mum doing well. We are just waiting on the JR to call. Older brother flying in from America tomorrow to see her. It will be great to see my big bro again its been four years. A lotto win would see a big family reunion.:j0 -

HI Wendy. Really pleased to hear your Mum is doing well. That must be a relief. Aww a new puddy tat. I love cats, my doggie doesn't though!
Keep well. You sound much more positive. The holiday sounds like a good idea.
Don't think I'll be meeting up with you lovely guys. I'm in Lancashire, miles away. Still I'll be with you in mind if not body.
