well guys,
delivery manifest says 3 boxes, 2 turned up with, yes you guessed it, kettle lead and robot dvd.
However, have got an electronic packing slip from them that clearly states 2 x 19" LCD 196FP monitors.
So they have confirmed to me they are sending the monitors and Walsh Western are 'investigating' where the other box is.
Will keep you all informed.0 -
Walsh Western are on their way with another box for me?
I await with baited breath.
Watch this space guys.

Sorry to say but my 19" TFT turned up fine yesterday, rigged it all up last night and it looks fantastic. Had to change the resolution to 1280x1084. I have a 128mb graphics card (PCI) using a Dell Dimension 3300 PC (2.4ghz) and I think I need to change some settings as HD content is very jerky and grainy. I have an ATI Radeon GC. Any ideas?0

no, I dont want another Robots Cd or kettle lead.
The delivery manifest says total weight of 15kg so until another box of air turns up then I must live in hope

You can get a 12ms response 19" for under £160 + P&P as it is.
I'm in no rush for it to arrive thankfully. I know there are cheaper ones available, but DELL TFT's are usually of a high standard.

Progress report... Just had a call from Dell...
After asking a number of questions about the physical aspects of the boxes I received and again confirming that there was definately not a monitor hiding in one of them, the rather pleasant lady on the other end deduced that I had been sent 'a wrong part'.
:j
They have promised to send out the correct part and arrange for the erroneous part to be collected (!). Apparantly I will receive another phone call tomorrow to let me know what is going on...
I reckon Xmas will be here before the TFT... :xmassign:0 -
AbsolutelyI reckon Xmas will be here before the TFT...
Are you sure your graphics card is up to this? Displaying at 1280x1024 takes a bit of power - you'll probably need at least an fx5500 or radeon 9600 to be able to get a refresh rate which isn't jerky. You need to check out your graphics card manufacturers website to see if it's capable of this.I have an ATI Radeon GCYou don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
Stop press... Yet another phone call from Dell...
They're going rebook the order for the E196FP again - courier is coming on Friday to collect the two boxes I received yesterday...
I'm sure the contents of the boxes are worth less than the courier fees...
