Today is chicken thighs and drumsticks with pasta, pesto and roasted veggies.....:D

(and some biscuits or chocolate as a reward/commisseration after weightwatchers)

  • Boots for shower gel
    Post MiL birthday card
    Make dinner – Lamb hotpot
    Hoover upstairs
    Change beds - Done
Washing to be done - First load in washer now, mountain left to do
    Iron 10 items of clothing
    Daily clicks and surveys

We had beef last night, we had Swiss Steak I doubt that's it proper name - basically it is braising steak (not cut up) in a casserole pot with chopped onions, a tin of chopped tomatoes and a pint of Oxo and cooked on a low heat in the oven for for 3 hours until tender and served with mash and peas :)

Off to take DS to school now...back later.

    Morning :)

all this talk of delicious food makes me hungry, I'm going to put a slow cooker on my christmas list I think. Hope the day brightens up Tea - it's beautiful & sunny this end - lifts the spirits hugely xx
    • Boots for shower gel - Done
    • Post MiL birthday card - Done
    • Make dinner – Lamb hotpot
    • Hoover upstairs - Done
    • Change beds - Done
    • Washing to be done
    • Iron 10 items of clothing

Okay getting there slowly, I am determined that this list will be done. I also promised the kids that I would play with the play-doh with them for 1/2 an hour this afternoon.

Lula - The sun has started to shine and it is lovely out there now :)

Right off to wash up now so I can use the casserole pot again for dinner tonight.
  • Hi all,

Just an update, more for my benefit I think.

I have done everything that I set out to do today...except the ironing; so as I am out tomorrow morning, I figured that I would do double the ironing tomorrow afternoon to make up for it and thus clearing it a bit more.
  • I had planned to go to the market this morning to get some veg but I did a re-mortgage online with HSBC instead which turned out they weren’t going to lend us enough.

Worth a try I guess. So on to my other plan for today.

I am going to go and do the washing up next and sort out DS’s bed…he’s suddenly started to wet the bed again but no idea why  ; he says nothing is wrong so I hope that it’s just a phase with starting school, having homework etc.

Dinner tonight is something relatively easy…sausage, egg and chips :) and we are having Tapas tomorrow night, which I am going to get partly ready during the day.

Sunday my other (favourite) SiL and her husband are coming for lunch :) so I will need to nip to the market on Saturday to get the veg for dinner and some beef from Tesco’s or Sainsburys.

    Catch you later.

Bummer with HSBC non-mortgage - they have cheap rates, don't they? As you say, worth a try, definitely.

Sausage egg and chips - that sounds fantastic! I don't have any chips in .... when I have potatoes I tend to steam them .... could steam a bit and then fry! I have eggs! And quorn sausages. Omigod, I could have sausage egg and chips too! And I have mushrooms that need using up, I could fry them with the tatties. You've just made me very happy, Tea!

  • Hi Karmacat - Glad that you're happy now. I love that dinner, I had to clean out the deep fat fryer though as it was rank!

So far today has been a NSD, I had to go and buy some petrol but as this is included in the budget I don't count it.

I have today done the following:
*Put clean sheets on DS's bed
*Put sheets in washer and now in tumble dryer
    *Washed up
    *Hoovered lounge and stairs
    *Cleaned out deep fat fryer

    This afternoon I need to:
    • Iron 20 items of clothing
    • Empty bin and put rubbish out
    • Defrost chicken for dinner tomorrow night
My vouchers from GFK arrived this morning so they have now been put with the others for after Christmas.
  • Just nipped on to say that I have now done my list for today :) and I am now going to do the clicks and surveys.

I have checked the online banking and we have approx £1000  left before we reach the limit of the overdraft and before DH gets paid again.

On a happy note - DH's company have said that bonuses will be paid this year :D and we should hopefully find out towards the beginning of next month what DH will get.

So I am going to keep plugging away and see how much we have left of the overdraft when DH gets paid again on the 15th December.

Oh and today is defiantely a NSD :T only four left to do now.
  • Yawwwwnnn….thank heavens it’s Friday! Considering I lost what day it was the other day I’m glad that it is Friday and not Thursday.

Last night I had a look on the Freebies Board and signed myself up for the Matter box, next shipment is out in March ’09 according to the e-mail they sent, so that’ll be a nice surprise if I receive it as I’ll have totally forgotten about it by then :)

I also signed up for the Royal Mail Postal Survey thingy to get the free stamps, not much but it’ll help, it appears that they have accepted me so we’ll see if anything comes through from them :)

I signed up to the Homepride Sampling Team, can’t remember what it is that you get to sample but if they accept me, then I’ll certainly try it out :)

And lastly I signed up to a website that was mentioned in Martin’s e-mail to get some free fizzy bath stuff for the kids :) I may regret that later when it's in the bath

I’ll certainly have a look on the Freebies board more often in future.

    On to today:
    • Playgroup with DD
    • Washing up
    • Iron 10 items of clothing
    • Make a start on dinner for tonight – Tapas
    • Shopping to put away this afternoon when it’s been delivered

My 10 items thing seems to be working as the ironing pile is slowly going down; DH is back at the flying club tomorrow working so I can get some more done then too.
