Evening all,
Well we are back from soft play, DS's friend cancelled at the last minute so we went to see DH at the flying club and then went to a different soft play centre that's miles better than the one we were going to go to
Both kids are extremely pooped to say the least but they had a good time even though there was much protesting from DS about leaving.
So how much did I end up spending? I took £20 with me but had £5 in my purse as a fall back in case £20 wasn't enough. Out of that £20 I have £5 leftwhich is in the form of two £2 coins and silver all of which have gone into the respective pots
and the £5 still remains in my purse.
Not too bad a day all in all, plus the last load of washing has gone in the washer and a load int he tumble dryer so that will be finished today too
This evening I am playing scrabble in Facebook with a friend of mine so I am feeling very happy to say the least.
Hope everyone else has had a good day and I'll update tomorrow if I can.0 -
Hi Tea,
Glad you had a good week end & are steadily re filling the freezer,
take care

I am a naughty mummy, I have just remembered that DS hasn’t done his homework and we don’t have time to get it done before he goes to school! I’m going to have to make some excuse and promise his teacher that it will be done tonight. I think that we will have to make sure any homework given on a Friday is done on a Friday.
Anyway on to today, the list is as follows:
· Housework
· Gutter man is supposed to be here before 8.30 or after 9am
· Dinner to make – peppercorn chicken, mash and peas
· Try and iron at least 10 items of clothing out of the ironing pile
· Daily clicks and surveys
· Play with the bubble mixture with the kids for ½ an hour
I think that should keep me quiet for a little while.
I also ordered the shopping last night and saved £10.19 in deals, this has gone over to the savings account as I am now building the pot up again to pay off SiL.
Today will be a NSD
I will update the position of the money things later on, when I have gone through the list.
Out of the £5 I had remaining in my purse, we went to Croydon yesterday to get DS a new coat, school trousers and pyjamas and that was used for the parking; so I now have £2.10 in there, £1 for playgroup tomorrow0 -
naughty mummy indeed
I have to admit, that because I am the world's best at leaving things until the last minute, I have tried to get my children into the habit of doing homework as soon as it is received so they don't fall into the same "deadline traps" that I do.
Your list looks a bit like mine today - I have a mountain of work to get through and no energy with which to get through itSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Tea,
yes, like you & Hypno I have always been a last minute homework type, but since DD has been at junior school we've managed to get into the habit of getting it done as soon as the obligatory biscuits have been consumed when getting in. It really does help & avoids those tears on sunday night / monday morning  .
Good luck with 'to do' list, I'll be checking up on you later

· Try and iron at least 10 items of clothing out of the ironing pile
· Daily clicks and surveys - Done
· Play with the bubble mixture with the kids for ½ an hour
Not too bad I guess, I am just in the middle of my update and will post that in a minute.
I still have washing up to do but there's not much so not too worried.0 -

Besides that I have drunk 2 pints of water, something I am aiming to do everyday as I did in the past.
Also DH rang to say he's going to be late this evening due to an incident on site, nothing major but the Safety Officers are on site and there is paperwork to be done, so probably a good job that we are having something easy-ish for dinner.
This evening is also the start of my cut back on alcohol regime, so I'll update on that tomorrow
And guess what???? Today has earned me another NSD :T I need to spend something tomorrow as we are back at the soft play centre with some friends of ours and DD has playgroup in the morning0 -
Good for you! With no alcohol, and two points of water, I bet you feel a lot better tomorrow. Bring it on ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Hi Karmacat - It won't be no alcohol but rather one/two glasses of wine as opposed to beer then mucho wine and I'll probably have Horlicks before I go to bed
Whilst I remember not included on my list but have done - I have washed the rather dirty and disgusting bin lin...it was manky! and I have also hoovered the lounge once I had cleared the toys away of course.0
