  • Hi I'm new to this site, has anyone else gone to trouble and expense of getting new telephone line put in (as required by the invitation to training) only to miss out on the training course which is now full???

I held back on getting a line put in until I was on a course. It is not a requirement to have this in before getting on a training course. In fact they do state that it is recommended to avoid long distance charges whilst on training.

I would guess you are stuck with an additional line now for a while? Maybe look at one of the other recommended home telephone jobs for a few months until BG are training again?

EDIT: This is on the Connections and Hardware section

    Connections You Need. Now.
Apart from the right high speed Internet Connection (see 3 On-Line Tests) you will need the right voice connection and the right type of e-mail connection before you start class. Please read below. DO NOT order any new connection (new dedicated voice–line) until you have Registered for Training and have a confirmed training date.

  • Oh dear I guess I misunderstood the prerequisites, I thought because you had to have the internet connection speed etc prior to training that it meant you had to have them on the new line... oops. It's a bit annoying though as they sent me out the free PC form on the Tuesday night and the course was full by the wednesday morning, wish they'd mentioned this when I was talking to them.

Any updates from anyone on how they're getting on etc, would be interesting to see how it's going now from those involved.

Been earning quite good money from this, still got a bit to go but my call average is about 8-9 calls an hour, and my target is about 12, the highest I have been up to is 11 an hour, all in all its working out about £10-£11 an hour so far, but we have been having teething problems that are slowly being ironed out, the best part about it is that its credit crunch proof.

That's good to hear taffy, glad it's going well for you, unfortunately i'm stuck on the waiting list so god knows how long it will be until the next training sessions.
  • Hi All,
