still on about 8 an hour, but it goes up and down over the day, sometimes its 11 or 12 then it goes down to about 7 or 8, it just depends what you hit during the day, and just been transferred to different lines, and these ones are busier so we should have less down time between calls.
All in all I am making money and there is very little outlay to run it, plus there is no cold mornings in this jobExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I have been live since Monday, but I'm still not sure about the job.Problem is finding my way round the systems really hard and as we only get so much per call when customers are having a moan I just think its not worth it.Also because it's takin me such a long time on call trying to work out whats what I've been calling customers back so I don't keep them hanging on.All these call are going onto my phonebill!I know I haven't given it long and I have never worked within this field before. Can anyone give me a bit of a boost, feeling stressed!0

Well for the call backs, use their dialler. I called 7 people back today all using the dialler. Each one was because of a system issue. One caused by me, 6 freezing issues!
All in I did 26 calls today in 7 hours but I was out of action for nearly 3 of those hours due to rebooting, relogging in etc. so as an hourly rate its about 6 an hour for when I was working. All down to learning the system I think. Once you have that down then I think you will be flying, I hope to and others that have posted all seem to be upping their numbers over time.
I haven't even attempted sales yet, saw a couple of opportunities today but I want a few days at least of getting to grips with call handling before throwing sales into the mix!
I think stick with it and it will get better!A+L Loan £168 Hitachi Loan £0 Bank of dad £19,664

Trust me you will find your way around the system quickly its a matter of practice that is all, i'm now averaging about 9ish an hour, when i started it was about 3 or 4 you will increase as you go along. Also you should not use your landline to make outgoing calls at all, you use the dialler for that pop me a pm if you haven't got the hang of it yet, and i will help you out with this, you should not be having any call charges as they phone you to connect to the server. As for the down time don't ask permission just reload your dvd, and i have some tips that will vastly decrease your down time without reloading. Hope that helps you.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can answer some questions for me. I do apologise in advance if anyone else has already asked but I have read through the thread and couldn't find my answers.
1. Do you need a seperate line for this? I have a line but do not use it other than for my broadband. Will this do? Does it have to be a business line?
2. VAT - This is a real puzzler for me! I used to be self employed and did all my tax returns myself and never used an accountant. Do you need to use an accountant to calculate your VAT or can you do this yourself? £50.00 a month to an accountant to do this for is not something I would want to do.
3. Is the job now closed until March?
4. What do you need already set up before applying? I currently use wireless network on my laptop but my husband is in the process of wiring this into the spare bedroom so I will be wired into the internet. Already got a headset and corded phone, got a quiet room I can work from. Anything else needed?
Thanks Rach0 -
I've read every post of this thread with interest. I am concerned with what "Simon_M" has said earlier. Furthermore, you may set up your own business/LTD company but if the business' sole income comes from this call taking, you will get caught with IR35 unless you have other call centre incomes. You will not escape IR35 even if you use your own equipments (e.g. telephone, PC etc) This means, regardless of having your company, taxman will class you as an employee. People should read up about it. Just my two penny.
It's good that British companies are may be thinking of bringing back the call centre to the UK from Bangalore/Dehli but this sounds like a great savings to the big companies. After all, if your computer dies, you'll pay for it and BG don't have to pay you any holiday, sick pay, pension etc etc0 -
Hi all,
Im actually an remote agent for British Gas, through ContractXchange, so would be happy to give anyone the feedback, good, bad and indifferent, if requested. All in all it is definately NOT a scam, but might not be a job for everyone of course.0 -
