Mioliere - cant wait to see the doll when youve finished
Lamewolf - good idea about writing the list for the hospital
Silvercharming :hello:
Aussie - glad DGS is getting better.
Apologies for anyone ive missed.
Have had a good day, not done loads but it has been nice. Have a lovely morning planned tomorrow also - DD are going for breakfast in our favourite coffee shop then DD is having her back to school hair cut. OH will take DS to his football tournemont, I will pop over there but will need to be home asap to look after the pup.
Will probably get a lot done as MSE is meant to be down all day
You lot taking about Lee Mead in a loincloth - I have seen the boy in nappies so its not really the same for me :rotfl:
Anyway feeling good at the moment, DS has his bessie mate over for a sleepover so will probably be tearing my hair out soon!
If I dont get back - have a lovely weekend.

Evening all,
silvercharming, as dogrose says - you dip in & out when you are able
We're here...
PenPen, welcome home
Enjoy doing the washing..!
Aussie, hope your head is a bit better now - and glad to hear DGS is gradually on the mend too - I expect it's the cuddles from Ninny that are helping....
Redruby, with any luck your DD will get her headaches sorted soon as well. Not a nice thing to have to suffer with. ((hugs))) for her.
LameWolf, I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much about Tuesday - think of all us sending you calming thoughts & "virtually" being there supporting you. Making notes of what you want to say/ask is an excellent start too.
Candygirl, everything crossed for your dad then. Hope the childminding went well....
I have made myself a handbag organiser this afternoon/evening - I'd started then a friend turned up for a couple of hours, so only finished a little while ago. I'm very pleased with it
Anyway, time for a cuppa & might go & sit in bed to watch tV with it. Sleep well all - especially those who haven't been sleeping so well.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

Good evening !:hello:
As usual I've read very little of the thread all week. So big hugs to you all.
Silvercharming - I did read your post, I thought you were very brave writing that and it's totally understandable why you were resisting, but I hope you feel you've done the right thing. I really think it's important to "talk" if you can so you should use this place during your ups and downs and I hope it will help you. You'll only ever get support from the lovely people on here (I may not read much but I can tell that!).
I have to "brag" about my tea yesterday - stir-fried pork - ALL the veg was home-grown!!! Well the carrots were a gift, but I had my own onions, pepper, courgette and the most beautiful red cabbage I've ever seen! (OK so none grown from seed but that will come....) Last year I had two tomato plants.....was it Redruby who said you quickly become obsessed?! I certainly have!! I've discovered a company called Realseeds, they sell seeds specifically developed for the UK home-grower rather than commercial growers, and give instructions for saving your own seed so that you don't have to buy from them again. I've not used them but did a search on the gardening forum and people who have used them recommend them. The website is https://www.realseeds.co.uk in case anyone is interested, I'll be trying them out next year. Even if you don't want to but from them you can get good seed-saving advice.
Tea tonight was reduced quiche, pretty good as I was debating with myself whether to have fish & chips, had finally decided to go for the fish and chips then took the wrong turn at the traffic lights!! Figured it was meant to be and went straight home.
Hoovered, watered my garden, done a little tidying in the bedroom since getting home, also did the weekly shop earlier. Just decided we should have OH's family over tomorrow so need to go back to Tesco oh well!
Have a good rest-of-evening and hope you all get a restful night's sleep.

Hi guys,
to Silvercharming, Wannabe Sybil, Redruby's DD, Candygirl, Beemuzed and Pen-pin (I know a nurse who boasts she can make taking bloods a very nasty experience if she is teed off!!!! shame on such behaviour   )
Thanks for your replies re the headstone and I am going to use the money towards that, it feels right to use it that way.:D
Well today I have done the usual clean through the house, ditched the two mattresses from the already dismantled bunks (they were metal and one of the bars had snapped leaving them very dangerous) and washed through all the bedding including the kids quilts. The pillows I will do tomorrow. I have re-arranged the lounge and I have cleaned out the boys room and run the carpet cleaner over the carpet but still it smells of urine in there. I am at my wits end as to how to stop LO piddling up there. He doesn't do it anywhere else. Anyway the 2 boys are in my bed until I sort out some new bunk beds in a couple of weeks time (Cue one very dead LO if he dares piddle in my room.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )
I have had a man and his van come and remove loads of rubbish from the side of the house and tomorrow after a trip to the market the kids and I will clean out the drive and hose it down as it is a bit of a mess after the digger and the skip at the weekend. Also I have watered the 'lawn' as yet again since it was laid it hasn't rained.:rotfl: :rotfl:
Moliere - I just love what you are doing for your mum, your post this morning brought tears to my eyes, you both sound like really lovely ladies.
Aussielass - I hope your headache and back are feeling better.
Haribo - I will try those muffins on Sunday
Churchmouse - don't forget those baskets!!!!!
Night night all,
Smoky. xxxxxxIf you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb

Just got in, washed up, cleaned the floors and brought all the wet washing off the line and into the TD yet again, god where is the sun?
Had a great day looking after the kids with Mum.My little niece aged 2.5 found a slug and wanted to keep it as a pet, bless her.Mum screamed when she tried to bring it in the house:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: My nephew took 5 steps today too, with the incentive of a choccy biccy in my hand:T :T :T
KATHY I nearly cried when I read about your Mum and the TB, as my Nan was wrongly diagnosed with TB when my mum was 4, and was in hospital for 6 months, and Mum could only wave at her through the window:(It turned out she had asbestosis from working in a gas mask factory during the war:(
Not sure of my weekend plans yet, but i'm probably taking Dad to watch cricket tomoz afternoon of it's fine.
Have great evenings all:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Good evening!
Silver Charming - thank you for being so brave and telling us, everyone here is always supportive and so kind, if there is anything we can do to help please let us know. I am sure that Dave being poorly hasn't helped at all, the extra stress must have made things very hard for you.
Moliere - your mum sounds amazing, I only wish I had one like her! What an amazing life she seems to have led!
PenPin - I hope that that nurse will think twice in future about how she treats people, and I hope that you only see the other nurse from now on!
Candygirl - good news about your friend's dad, hope he is on the road to recovery quickly, sending good thoughts to your dad.
Lamewolf - good luck for next week and I hope that the pain doesn't get any worse.
Redruby - I had horrendous migraines when I was 14, the pain made me pass out several times even! But a combination of tablets and finding the triggers helped a lot - in my case it was coffee, chocolate, orange and stress!
Aussie - glad your dgs is back home safe and sound and that he's had lots of ninny hugs!
Sybil - I'm so glad that you are feeling brave enough to write down how you are feeling and show your dr and health visitor, well done you (hope that doesn't sound patronising, cos it certainly isn't meant to). I'm sure that all four of my children have exhibited repetitive behaviour, especially over putting things in certain places and in certain orders, as other have said it is a fairly normal part of childish behaviour, but mention it to your HV if you are concerned, that is what they are there for.
Hugs to everyone else who needs one, seems like there are a lot at the mo, we all need some sunshine to cheer us up a bit, well it always makes me feel a lot better!
Been busy baking and cooking everything in sight this afternoon, lots of help from the kids bless em! Must've been getting tired towards the end as the first I knew about the custard cookies being over their time was black smoke billowing from the oven lol! Still smells of burning in the kitchen, they were completely cremated! Ah well, will have another go another day!
Nice cuppa now I think and Stephen Fry on QI whilst I browse! Enjoy your evenings everyone! xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Good grief, just had a bit of a panic here when one of the cats came running in looking all wide-eyed & foaming at the mouth/dribbling everywhere...!!!!
Of course as I've only had them 3 weeks I hadn't got as far as sorting a vet (as everything was done & checked before they left the rescue centre). Found an emergency number & put a post on the pet forum here too. Seems as though she may have licked a toad.... The dribbling/foaming seems to have stopped & she has calmed down too, I've kept her in the kitchen for the last 20 mins. Will be keeping an eye on her for a little while longer but vets are 24 hour so I can call or go across if I need to.
so my day starts & ends in a state of panic... hope that's not an omen for the rest of the weekend...Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)
