    -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.5
  • Well just gone through spending diary and seem to have a total of £132.15 :rotfl:
That includes 1 weeks hol and lots of freebie f&v from kind friends,so think there may be a miscalculation somewhere!

MrsMc I will declare £132.15 for September please and £180

    again for October please.
That will be tight as DS is getting married on Nov 1st :j

Foggy day here, have gardening to do,as house was painted this week and our little garden has been well massacred.
Sausage and mash, apple cumble, apple chutney, stewed apple, cheese scones,soup- so bit of cooking as well.(Guess what I was given this week)

See you all next month and well done ,keep going it is working.

  • Don't think I set a target for September - not being able to post at work is a right pain.

Anyway, I'll declare my spend for September as £273.16

New month started on Wednesday for me - with a target of £120 I know that sounds really low all of a sudden. But we're off to Oz for five weeks at the end of the month, and I really need to run the freezers/fridge right down. So a month of odds and ends for us.

    Hi Everyone,

I am ready to declare and I failed! This was my first month on the challenge and I can only learn.

I set my target at £90 and ended up spending £105.12 so not great but I did some analysis to see where I went wrong - lunches and snacks at work: £25.64 and take aways: £25.50. Most of this spending was due to poor planning. Even if I had halved these I would be back on target. The weight watchers challenge is also helping.

I am going to set the same target of £90 for October and see if I can be better organised.

  • hello, haven't been posting as overwhelmed by speed of this forum. But doing the challenge has still be great and declaring at £194.38:j which is 62p below target. This is a reduction of £35 since July 'budget'. Setting my own target of £190 for October but no need to list me officially.
Thanks for the inspiration and work of those running this challenge.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • Well, I went over but only by a little bit and it's been one of those months. Having aquired a cat hasn't pushed my budget up too much but there have been a few extras that have done for my hope of going lower this month. Stiil I'm going to keep at it and am declaring at £91.64 and going slightly lower at £85 for October.

A big well done to everyone who made it and a reminder to those who didn't that for most of us we're still spending way less than we used to AND eating better.

    Have a great weekend all.
It's up to me now and nobody else.

Just wondering how this compare. Anyone else feeding two adults and two cats?

How a frugal weekend everyone ;):)
