Well I know what to eat to eat healthy, but I can't bring myself to like to the taste. This week I really didn't plan ahead.
Here is what I bought.
2x baking potatoes
2x tuna
Wholemeal bread
Value shreaded wheat
value pasta (whole grain is too expensive)
spicy tomato pasta sauce
Tofu
250g mince
740g chicken breast
250g lean beef
2x pizza (2for £2)
100g value chocolate
2x fries
100% fish fingers
frozen peppers - only 69p
Onions
pack of cookies
squash
soda water
Pukka steak an kidney pie
The chicken lasts me 4 meals i.e a large curry, chowmein
The beef will do for two in a homemade blackbean and chilli sauce.
I was thinking of having the mince with the pasta.
Cereal for breakfast and a cheese and ham toastie for lunch
fires and either pie or fishfingers for when in a hurry
Pizza for the same reasons
Potatoes i will put on before training so ready for when i'm back. I'll have them with tuna mayo.
As for the tofu i'll proabably make a different type of curry or stirfry0 -

Great! Thank you pink-winged and rosieben.
I can be very bad with food and especially with snacks so need the motivaton of a challenge to keep me on straight and narrow.Have started cooking from scratch again thanks to inspiration from my bf.
If I can joing October's grocery challenge for £100 that would be great. And if I can I'd like to do it from 1-29/10. Off on holiday the last 2 days so won't be counting them. I know it's quite a lot for single person, but I'll start with that and see how much I can shave off it.
I love this site.
Btw, does it include food, toiletries, household stuff etc?DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

See if this will work:
£280 for October, to include all food, drinks, nappies and cleaning supplies.
Oh it does, great!0 -
... does it include food, toiletries, household stuff etc?
You can include whatever you like in your challenge, I include food, cleaning stuff and toiletries, but others don't. If you are consistent each month it wont matter as you'll still have a true picture of your spending. I think some people set up separate budgets for pet food, entertainment (ie eating out, buying birthday pressies, cards etc)
Its your challenge so do whatever suits you best.Just noticed what you had in your sig rosieben.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
