Well said Marie - I know that I am a lot firmer about saying 'no' on occasion now.
Sybil - others have suggested sending the print out to your GP. I really second that - I did just that in November when I flew back down south after being with my son when he was ill. I was just in pieces and typed it all out, got an appointment and handed it to the dr. It was just the thing I needed to do and she was able to help me and also made sure she saw me regularly for a while. In your position, I would post it. Please do this. It is SUCH a good thing to do for yourself and your family. Big ((((hugs))))

my kids went back earlier than most on here i know so can i just make an observation from todays lunchtime shift i did. we got through loads of plasters where children had new shoes which were worn for the first time today (a couple had trainer sock on so nothing between the shoe and the heel) If youve got new shoes for the kids new term can i suggest that they break them in a little each day before they go back.

I'm not judging or criticising here just thought it might save a few blisters as its not always something we think about in the rush to get all the new term prep done;)

Brilliant advice, Mrs Moneypenny! Just wearing new shoes around the house for an hour or so each day will help to break them in. My boys always hated their new school shoes because they were so 'sensible'!

Hi folks - haven't dared post earlier as I was too worried. DS admitted to hospital late last night - thought perforated ulcer, but scan and blood tests show acute pancreitis. He manages a pub - but clearly he'll have to give up alcohol! Don't know yet the grade of severity. My daughter outlaw is doing well, but DGD is too noisy for much visiting. Will go up tomorrow and visit and mind the LO. Oh I do panic so - having lost one son I'm paranoid about the other.

    Hi all

Sorry I haven't been around much. Big hugs to all of you. Have been trying to sort out my marriage problems with OH. So looking forward to DS going back to school. I can have some peace and quiet and a good de-clutter. Have lost 8lbs doing Paul McKenna, at least some things are good news.

Hope to get back into the swing of things soon, off to Legoland tomorrow with a group of friends. Have a free child ticket and shall take loads of food with me.

Will catch up soon. Big hugs.

Contrary to DonnyGal's belief I'm afraid you've got me all wrong.icon9.gif Never knitted in my life and don't even have central heating to keep turned off. Yes, I managed to get some yellow stickered bargains last night but won't be attempting to eek out a pork chop.

This is the OLD STYLE daily thread. I'm Old Style and proud. But perhaps I'm posting in the wrong place now.

Sorry H-J it was the G&T's that confused me. I don't turn my CH off either, and too much of a carnivore to share my chop. I hope you aren't in the wrong place as I also would be, beside who would keep my attention to the quotes if not you?

And we nearly agreed earlier, hope you aren't upset. DG

(((((((Beemuzed and Jannyannie))))))) Thinking of you both.

It's still stressful here, but it isn't AS stressful. I always hesitate to say that though, in case it gets more so. So I'll shush on that subject :P I had a phone call from another venue just as I was leaving work, and am going to follow that up tomorrow, as well as another line of enquiry, so that's looking up. My dress should be posted to me soon, too - yay! Hopefully it'll be with me the early part of next week.

Feeling exhausted now, and going to get a nice hot bath in a little while so I can try to forget the day. Had lovely bangers and mash instead of the sausage casserole (Mr Frugalswan didn't fancy sausage casserole which is normally his fave, so something's up!) but tea was nice. I could quite easily fall asleep here, but I'll catch up on some other threads and do a little bit more to my cross stitch :)
