I was up late because we were trying to get the holiday arranged. I guess i need to work a bit on that putting my foot down thing, huh?

Going to Disney for 3 days with my folks and brothers family, then off to visit relaives for a week. I'll use the money my gran left - it kinda seems fitting as we'll be seeing her brother and hopefully some of the family. They are getting on a bit and i don't think i'll have the opportunity to do so again in the forseeable future.

Just need to get fit now - i fall asleep all the time when i travel. Just can't stay awake. Getting into a proper routine would probably help, but i think it's more than that.

Well, i'm off for my beauty sleep.
    G'night guys.

    Debt now £19,970

Strange, it feels like ages since i've done an update.
Just got below the 20k mark - woohoo!! :T

A few things have actually happened since i last posted, but nothing earth shattering. Got an offer for a loan from Lloyds near the end of the month. They used to alternate between the loan offers and the 0% offers but hadn't had either for a while. Looked into doing a BT online to LTSB (or whatever they're called nowadays), so clicked the button and there was no information there - closed it down. Yesterday i got some 0% cheques from them so not sure if that button press triggered something, but going to try that next time i need a BT too :rotfl:

Today i got a letter from HBOS saying they had increased my limit to 4,700. I wonder if they just do this every 6 months?? Total credit available on cards: £23,750

So, i've just transferred £3,000 to RBS and £1,900 to HBOS. The rest i'm going to do as my usual monthly payment. It's 0% for 6 months so will be keeping the cards for a while yet.

Not much else happeneing. Still need to look at getting insurance for the trip and still falling asleep. I'm going to try to get to bed before 11:30 from now on. Hopefully that'll be a good start.

Anyhoo - take care guys and hope you're all keeping to budget :D

Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

    I'm here, I'm here!!!
    Sheesh.

    Women!!

    :D

Was going to do an update tomorrow when i make some payments. You can't do them too close to the required date or the funds won't clear in time, but too early and it won't count as this months payment as it goes towards the previous month. Always confuses me how they try to do that but i'll update the totals tomorrow.

    Got toothache right now :(
Tried to make an emergency appointment as i'm with denplan, but just got a cal back from a nurse saying i should take paracetamol and ibuprofen (2 hours apart) and try calling my dentist tomorrow. If they're not open, i'll need to wait until Tuesday. Well worth the money isn't it.

Going to Orlando on Saturday. I wish i was excited about it but just can't get into it. Hayfever has started with a vengence and pills i just got are not much use (slight inconvenience). Brother and his missus... Lets just say a relaxing family holiday it won't be. If you think about what the worst thing he could have done in a marriage was - yup, just not sure of how many b.o.t.s. They have debts so she can't really go anywhere - no family to speak of so she's probably feeling trapped. He's being a selfish pig but still want to have his cake and eat it too.

At least i got my money off him (although i did need to remind him as you may see from a few posts back). He's not done anything about trying to see if his loan is enforcable or if he can get any charges or anything back - been 'too busy'.

Got insurance from AA so nice and cheap. Will need to see if they cover dental care on that...

Right, what are the next million questions then? :)
Hope you're doing alright. Anything fun planned for the long weekend?

Aww sorry you have toothache, not nice at all and sod's law that it is on a Bankholiday too.
    :o
Brother's eh? He sounds a lot like my OH as in wanting his cake and eating it, but i have withdrawn all cake until he sits up and does something re his debts. Amazing what a few well timed discussions and SOA sheets have done.

Fun things this weekend? Hmmm...badgering on here, off for a trudge in the rain tomorrow...or i might descend on my mother for free scran-seems like a plan.

    So questions?

Well the one i was going to ask was in relation to a post a few back about your excercise routine and making sure you were still working hard at your sweating..but i think i won't ask that one:D:p:rotfl::rotfl:
And you may misinterpret it..wouldn't want you doing that:rotfl::rotfl:

    :p cheeky sod

sorry about the tooth ache, not nice at all. hope it gets sorted before Saturday not good to fly with toothache.

Are your folks going on the holiday? how come you have ended up going with your brotheras well?

I think the worst thing anyone can do in a marriage is cheat? in any case going away with an unhappy couple is awful so I can see why you aren't looking forward to it.

Still Florida is generally friendly - well my sister thinks so

and the most exciting thing that I am doing this weekend is eating a creme egg and having a cup of tea........

although I am going to burn some rubbish tomorrow - thrill a minute my life I tell you xxxxxxx

    Cream Egg - Waaaaah
Working up a sweat? - Bwaaah haaah haha hahah ha
    Nope.

My folk go over to Florida every few years to visit relatives (gran's brother).
As they're getting on a bit i might not get a chance to go over and see them again, so though it might be a good idea - even though i couldn't really afford it until i inherited £1k from gran's estate. We thought it would be a good idea as brother wanted to take the kids to disneyland so tied it all together - then we found out about all the other stuff.

    I've worked it out though.
My folks want me to go so i can carry their cases and all the shopping.
My brother wants a holiday so needs some babysitters.

Or am i looking at the glass half full?
(Blooming glasses - guess who'll get lumbered with the washing up too)
    ;)

Still totally unfit - at least with this toothache i'm not eating. Should lose a few pounds before the holday starts then... :rotfl:
