There was a documentary on tv about famous brands. Gosh, well i never!!!! Iron Bru is the most popular drink up your way, considered patriotic and it is the only soft drink market in the world that Kokey Koke hasn't managed to conquer.

I dont mean to be disrespectful but it didn't taste v nice but well done all the same.

Just giving a brief update here for now. Not been online for about a week and will not be on much for at least another week.

Hadn't been feeling too good, so went to doctor's on Tuesday and he thought i may have acute appendicitis so he called me an ambulance and went to A&E. Bumpy ride to say the least. Turned out to be the case so was operated on on Tuesday night - complications so not just keyhole. Have a nice 5 inch wound on my stomach with 8 staples in it. All was fairly okay until Friday - i had just been moved to a different department. Don't know if the nurse was having a bad day or something, but after buzzing and asking for something for the pain at 10:30, never saw anyone until 12:20 when i asked again. I got 2 paracetamol and when i asked if i could get anything else, was told no. Was basically told in a very confrontational manner that i'll get what she gives me and not to argue. Needless to say i decided i'd be leaving the next day. The pain was pad enough, but with the heat in there it was agony. All the other staff were very helpful and friendly so don't know what her problem was - i've been in too much pain to talk much so i know i can't be anything i've said or done. Was considering making a complaint but i don't know her name and after asking those 2 times, didn't make any other requests. Really didnt want her near me after that.

Anyhoo - i'm not going to be around much (like that's new) so just to let you know why you may not be hearing from me for quite a while.

Hope everyone else is keeping okay.
    George

    You must rest.

Maybe that's why you were always burning hot? I do hope you feel better v soon. Big hug (we wont squish you). Might send Bob round in her nurses outfit.

Gosh - poor George - thanks for the text Kit - this must be what has been making him ill for so long, bubbling away waiting to reach this state - at least he's had his op now, despite the complications and that nurse  , so he should be on the road to recovery
