Great to see an update George...things seem a little calmer for you which I'm really pleased about for you.Exercise just start with gentle walking...remember baby steps.
Glad the meet up went well xxx Want to visit Edinburgh sometime and would like to go to the fringe but gosh the hotels are pretty expensive or perhaps I'm looking at the wrong ones.0 -
Hey up George, sounds like you have a lot on your plate young man- so take it easy and just know that we all think about you..not in that way, well SW may do
but you know what i mean.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Try looking out for cheap deals with Travelodges Taxi - I can recommend the Haymarket Travelodge as we stayed there last July for £29 a night - unlike most Travelodges, this is an old hotel, not a new-build, so you get proper sized rooms - the one we had was bigger than the footplate of our bungalow   Just a very short walk from Haymarket Station, one stop from the mail station Waverley but you can easily walk along to Waverley/Princes Street. Keep an eye out for Travelodge deals as they often have sales starting from about £10 - HTH
By the way, I concur that George was utterly charming, though he definitely was unwell and we were all worried about him, but he did the Edinburgh Guide duties very well so thank you George - it was a pleasure meeting you - hope we can all meet up again sometime  P.S. no need to bring any Irn Bru though  :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Secondary money item that i've been thinking about is a mortgage. I don't have any savings to speak of and if i don't get a mortgage before i'm 40, it could prove to be more difficult to get one.
Why do you want a mortgage in the first place?I've done a little excercise, but still quite self-conscious about it - even in the house. I think the best method is short burst of strenuous exercise to get some kind of fitness back, then try to concentrate on core muscles before trying weights and power-type excercising. I'm not going to injure myself again - i'm too unfit to continue as i am. Will probably try walking a bit more - just hope the hayfever doesn't get too bad this year.
If you learn to love the rain and the dark, there's 6 months worth of walking in Scotland just waiting for you...Now, what else was there? Oh yes... I met SW
