Bobalicious! Was just thinking about you. Was going to bump your retired thread as i hadn't seen you around. Hope you and the family are doing okay.
Not had access to the computer as my nieces have been around - they gave me a cold/bug too so been in bed a bit. Pretty much cleared up now and they've been packed off to their folks this morning.
Neck and shoulder have been getting worked on at the weekends - a bit expensive but he said it looked like i definately needed it as there seems to be a few things that have been there for some time that needed attention. Tension, knots and stuff probably. Got crunched again today but i think just one more session is needed. No pain now so hopefully just needs a little more loosening up.
Good to see you too Jacks and Z (and Wol and Buffy too). Blimey all those names and no smut - is this some kind of record?
Had a small panic about the finances - thought i might have missed my payment to LTSB due to the lurgy but i had checked before and there is no payment due this month due to it being a new balance transfer. Had forgotten about that.
I think i've saved up enough for going down south now but i'll just keep paying the minimum until after July and i have a bit of a cushion saved up.
Workwise - really could not afford the time off
Will need to really get my head down and finish off the coding i've been working on. It's the final stretch but i need to get this thing out to the other offices. Should have had that done last week but it's hectic in the office with other stuff too and no chance of doing anything with the kids there. I'll relax after it's done though (and before they find any problems with it).
Will try to do an update on the totals tomorrow (hopefully i'll get a chance to sleep in now).
Hope everyone's okay and happy. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Will probably be another month before i know if there's going to be any kind of payrise at work this year, but here's hoping. Not heard anything about appraisals yet though - maybe they don't want to know what their staff are thinking right now.
I have about 8 months before i need another 0% offer so hopefully will only owe 11k in total by then at most - creditors may see 7k worth of credit as i will have about 4k of my loan left and 3k owed in total on the cards if i only make the minimum payments. Hopefully i'll be able to get more and this should be the last BT i need to do so fingers crossed that i can get this one when the time comes.
Not much else to report.
Got half a chocolate egg left which may not last beyond tomorrow.
Not even though about getting fit since i put my shoulder/neck out last time. I suppose i should really think about that again. Will need to start on the hayfever meds soon too though - can't think why some people are disappointed about the winter lasting longer...
Oh yes, cousin had asked me to update an old workbook i had done for my uncle's company - basically working out compound interest on debts owed with varying interest rates. Was just requiring an update of the dates but she also mentioned that the solicitors were very happy with the workbook too. Might need to create some kind block so that only those with a password will be able to use it after a certain length of time and put a note on the workbook that it will be locked unless payment is made for use of the workbook. Don't mind doing things for my uncle, but if solicitors are getting the benefit of my coding, they're bally well going to pay for itAfter falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Hiya Buffy, hope you're a little less stressed now.
If you fail to meet some of your targets, don't beat yourself up over it. You can't do everything all at once even if you feel you should be able to.

Hi George- Thank you. I have missed being on here TBH, it gave me a purpose. I am a bit down at the moment but it will get better. Work has been manic, but have been on weird hours as the company has restructured and expect us to do more and they have paid less. So as i need the money i will stay for the moment, but i am looking for another job.
Family all growing it is DD2's birthday tomorrowSo she has organised herself a little party- which i will have to stump up for *insert rolled eyes* and Mr.B has a big birthday at the weekend. Eldest DD and hubby are coming up for the weekend so that will be good.
Glad to hear you are getting some treatment for shoulder, it will take a while but i am sure it will be worth it.
As for the techy bit...well you are brainyHope it all gets sorted soon.

It's been a while since i've posted here, hasn't it
New balance: £13,691
Moneywise, things are plodding along okay. Just done some calculations for going to the wedding in July and it's going to cost a packet. Train trip will be about £80 and about £180 for 3 nights in hotel (now booked). Still got a cash present to give (no idea how much but they're going to Vegas i believe ) and meals etc. Got enough saved but will be very tight for other stuff i was wanting to do at the end of July.
Work is still hectic. Still not fixed that programming problem but at least i think i now know how to tackle it. Written another programme in the meantime and the partners have asked me to look at another huge project. I just wish i had time to work on all this extra stuff as my other work gets in the way. Taking a few minutes here and there is not going to get this done. There also seem to be a few bugs cropping up, but when i make time to look at them, the programme just works fine and i can't replicate it again. Driving me batty.
Healthwise - a little dodgy. Got stomach trouble and decided i need to get fit, get a regular sleep pattern and have been looking at probiotics. I know i need to eat healthier, but i think i'm going to make sure i have plenty of good bacteria in my system and then possibly try using some acidophilus culture to hopefully promote the natural flora in my gut. That may need to wait until i can afford it though. Also expensive is my trips to the Osteopath. Still not quite right - something wrong with my neck, but at least there's no pain and only discomfort when i try doing my neck excercises. Will need to try to speed this up as it is costing a small fortune. Might try some jogging to see if i can shake something loose - tempting fate there a little but he can put me back together if something goes wrong.
The only other thing i can think of that's been happening this month is the election.
Must admit i am disappointed with today's announcement that Gordo is standing down. Can't think of anyone else in the Labour party strong enough to be a good, decisive leader or who else may be able to get us out of this economic mess. Even getting the support of the liberals will not be enough for Labour so i don't think there will be any type of rainbow coalition. The only reason i couldn't see the Libs and Conservatives working together was the proprtional representation hurdle. Looks like that was taken out of the way today after William Hague (i like him, really think he should have stayed on last time - there was no way he would have won the election at the time he stood) announced that the Conservatives were willing to put it to a referendum.
If the voting system does not change, that's basically the end of the liberal democrats. They need some kind of proportional representation in the voting system to have any kind of future in politics i feel. If they don't get it then they are doomed and will never be in a position like this again. I think the Conservatives will play heavily on the fears of a hung parliament at every election if PR does go through though. Not sure how it will work out.
I still think Gordon Brown is the best bet for the economy but i am also concerned that the Blairites will take control of Labour again.
I can't see Cameron as a strong enough leader to deal with what's coming. Possibly unfair on him, but they were so slow in getting their policies out and there was no real depth to them for me. If there is a Conservative government/coalition, i can't see him lasting the full term. It may be that the concessions he has to make with the liberals split the party and he is ousted or he may not be able to last the pace. Either way, his PM question time appearances never struck me as being strong enough or incisive enough to be of merit.
My worry now is that a Con/Lib government will be formed and if the £6Bn cuts in the public spending is not fairly distributed, then next year at the Scottish elections, the SNP may get enough votes to get a referendum on total independence. I haven't a clue whether that would be good or bad, but if people believe they are being stamped on by a Conservative government that got 1 seat (16% of the total vote), they will not look at the policies or benefits but will just vote so that they are not ruled by what many believe is a party that has little interest in Scotland.
I guess by next Monday we'll know who will be at Downing Street and in September we'll know who the leader of the Labour party is and if the Lib Dems will ever be more than just a minority party. I hope Gordon stays on as an MP though. He may be bull headed and dour, but he has heart - in every sense of the word.

End of month update...
I'm knackered!!!
Still not finished that bedamned programme although i believe i've worked out the logic for it and just need time to code it in. Work is majorly hectic and will be for quite a while - i've done about 3 more programmes but still need to finish that main one and come up with a strategy for the new project they wanted me to look at - i've got tomorrow to come up with a solution and presentation. Then at the end of the month i've got my staff appraisal. Looks like i'm going to have to do quite a bit of homework. Oh yes, in a few days my neices are coming down for about 10 days...
I'm going to bed.
Not waking up doesn't seem like too bad an option right now. Not for a few weeks anyway.

Majorly busy at work and it looks like it's going to stay that way. Got confirmation that they want me to go ahead with that large project - i'll need to train as i neeed to learn MS Access but it's going to take quite a while to get this up and running. Still got bits and pieces of the last project to finish off, but at least all the offices now have access to this. Just hope it doesn't crash...
Had my appraisal and they seemed quite impressed with what i had done in the past year and that i had managed to source so many new potential clients. It was the program i wrote that was an offshoot of this unfinished one, but seems to have given the company a head start on the competition. Just found out yesterday that i was going to get a payrise - to say i was gobsmacked when i opened the letter is an understatement. Looks like they want me to stick around for a while
What else...
Had to make my apologies to the Investment Club i'm a member of. They are arranging a BBQ on 31st July, but i have another commitment on that date. Still to book the train tickets and hotel, but i'll definately be away them.
Lloyds are changing their online banking.
I don't like it.
By the looks of the demo, if you wish to make a payment or transfer money, they will phone you to confirm. I do alot of my banking at night (round about now). I don't want them phoning me at this time - bloomin' stupid and poorly thought out if this is how it's going to work. I'd be changing my bank rather than do that!!
Had to run for the train today, and there is definately something wrong with my shoulder. It just felt... restrained. Like it was being held slightly back and down rather than the usual movement of your shoulder when running. Might have to take that further and actually take up running again.
The bruises i got from my last time with the Ostepath are just about faded now - almost 2 weeks. He's been really good though, he's given me quite a few free treatments. I think my family are some of his best customers - we're falling to bitsHe doesn't know what's wrong with my neck and i'm probably not bad enough for the doctor to do anything about it.
Hayfever's been going into overdrive the last few days so i'll probably need to visit the doc again before i run out of pills. I'll probably spend most of the weekend hiding in a dark place and possibly go out to do a little excercise if my eyes aren't stinging too badly. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

How about a fun update... I've broken a tooth!!!
Only good thing is i think it was the tooth that i had root canal treatment on so there's no pain. (slightly sensitive)
I was planning to try to update my diary more often, but this in not what i had in mind.
