And since DRI are an American company, we all know that they'll never be punished effectively by the UK authorities.0

I've just returned from a week in sahara sunset resort in costa del sol got it for £275 for a week in mid august because I aggreed to go to a "90" minute presentation by diamond resorts. The resort was lovely very good for famillies and had to go to the presentation on thusday morning, the salesman was very nice no hard sell but spent abut 45 mins talking about himself I reminded him that i was only obliged to attend this for 90 mins as per aggreement so he then got on to telling us how wonderful the company were. After 2hours I told him that as my kids were fed up I was going and he still had'nt told me the cost. Enter the sales queen who was the only one who could give us the figures £12300 for 5000 points but as she was in a good mood she was going to double it to 10000 points for life plus a free holiday for two weeks next year all sounded great until she told me that for this priviledge i would have to pay approx £1000 a year in maintan fees. They were my new best friends until i told them I was'nt interested then they did'nt want to know however as a rule I would'nt say that this was a haerd sale and that they did'nt tout us outside the presentation. My tip would be if you have the resolve to say no you can get a cheap holiday in first class accomadation once every 13 months(as stipulated in the booking confirmation they send) as long as you are prepared to give up about three hours of your holiday. WELL WORTH IT FOR A CHEAPY BUT DON'T BUY AS ITS A WASTE OF MONEY.0

mocksy . ....surely the best advice is simply to not go at all, rather than put up with half a day of sh17??0

All the crap spouted by these so called free holiday or cheap holiday users are just designed to encourage you to go along to the timeshare presentation, they tell you not to buy,so sound genuine...........but beware......THEY JUST WANT YOU TO GO ALONG TO THE PRESENTATION.........NO PRESSURE....like FCUK............they know they can convert to buyers at least 1 in 20......if twenty dont go along they cant convert anyone..........How many times have we heard....."I am not stupid but the deal was so fantastic and all my money back after 7 years of free holidays sounded so good, but,as i am not stupid i only bought the £4900 35 months sampler deal............how can anyone be so stupid with only one head?.................Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

I have been a member of this organisation since 1998 and I am very satisfied. Let me give you 3 examples:
In 2004 we went to Florida and stayed in a luxury appartment (whilrpool bath in the bedroom, giant screen TV) that if booked privately would have cost $200 per night. We got the full week for £110 exchange fee.
In 2008 we stayed at a luxury villa in Qinta de Lago in Portugal (the same place that Madonna and the Saudi royal familiy have houses). Based on our management fees, it cost us £500 per week. The same place booked privately would have been £1600 per week. (I checked)
This year my daughter and her friends stayed in Teneriffe for a week costing £89. If booked privatley the appartment would have been £900. All facts I'm afraid.
The accomadation is all 4 or 5 star and the orgganisation is professinally and honestly run. The only draw back is availability and you have to either book well in adavance to get what you want or be flexible and take what's there.0 -

Sounds plausible enough to me!
What is the problem with this, then? Sounds like a right good deal.....Oh come on, don't be silly.
It's the internet - it's not real!0 -
Strangely I posted a version of this on Club La Costa thread a few days ago, here's a version for Diamond scammers
Just to confirm ....................
Diamond Resorts is a complete and utter scam, and anyone posting otherwise is usually making their first post on here and is actually one of the scammers.

Now on to the £98 apartment........all the above applies, now makes it £1400.......what with the loss of interest or loan charges on the original purchase price.......still, lets not split hairs, lets say my bargain free holidays only cost around £1500 per week............Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0
