    although i didnt get the best response, i still have to go to the post ofice and post the phones back.

    I'd call the returns dept. again and ask to swap it over when your new one arrives, I think they've changed their policy since you phoned.
  • I couldn't be bothered waiting so I bought a charger and headset off ebay for £4. I will sell the other charger to recoup most of the cost.

    Also I am going to write to O2 about this and see if I can get a £5 goodwill payment from them.

    thanks. i was going to do that but they arrived this morning.
    no problem anyway it is freepost and i will do it when i get round to it so not too much hassle.

    the great thing about these phones is that they are unlocked.

    I wondered about that as it is listed on the invoice as sim-free. I hope it is otherwise I'm going to have to get it unlocked. Unfortunately I can't try it 'til I get a charger.

    i just used the phone for the first time. sound quality is terrible. is this as standard on the phone or is it faulty?

    I have heard reports that a common problem is poor sound quality.

    It appears as if all phones are affected.
  • Wish I'd read this thread before ordering, is it easy to cancel my order? Have'nt had order confirmation email yet - how long does it take to arrive?
