    Hi everyone.
Hope you are all well today!
I have been trying to catch up on the thread and post these bits for at least 3 hours – I keep losing my connection and having to restart my computer as it freezes and I have had 3 long phone calls also to interrupt me!!
Vanilla- i dont seem to have seen your posts for a couple of days – are you ok and how is Bo behaving?
Pigpen – hope you didnt have to scrub too hard to get the dye off
Froddy – I agree with the others – you should go back and see your GP – pleased to see you are managing to get it in your mind what you need to do – hope you get a favourable response from the head. Glad to see that today has been better for you
Dustykitten – thanks I am not going to even try to do any more on the list – as you said I will start again tomorrow – I have always meant to say I LOVE your signature!!
G&B – hope you enjoyed the match and yur side won
carol22 – well done you – much safer tucked up in bed and you wont live to regret it like some of the gutter worshippers will!
Greenbee – I wish you hadnt posted that link now I dont have a reason to do the spider/radiator cleaning!! At least before i could say 'i dont have anyway of cleaning down inside' !!!! LOL Are you trying for a doggy biscuit from pigpen by any chance!!!
johanne – thank goodness you're not in the gutter!!! what a shame more girls of your age dont think like you! You have a partner and a child which I am sure is much more satisfying! Look at the money they spend too!! Bless you – stay the way you are!!
Laura D – have a lovely day and enjoy being a godmother – I do!
Soappie – thanks for the link – the photos are great – everybody looks like they are having agreat time – your poor feet!!! enjoy an easy day today!
Craftyscholar – thanks for the book idea – i will add that to my reading list.
Hex – I would love a look at your garden too please – I used to love gardening but cant manage much now – Love the cat helping with the ironing!!!! and your wee table looks fab – congrats to OH
Boddy – thanks! You work long hours – 12 hours – no wonder you cant get much done at home – you must be exhausted
Kazwookie – well done with the car boot – every bit helps and plus its less clutter to deal with!!
Serena – glad you are having a bit more success with your DD – she will thank you one day!!!
Deniseflower – Mee too I love stationery bits – have to avoid those parts of shops now – have enough pads, pens etc for a year I think!! I love the glittery gel pens you get these days – not when i was a kid and it was standard Bic pens!! I have pads and pens in every drawer in the flat! My little niece loves notebooks and pens too so I had great fun buying bits for her birthday!

Sorry if I have missed you out but was getting very frustrated with this pc and kept losing my place!!! Thought I had better get this posted before I get cut off again:eek:

On the flying front I have continued my quest to boldly go where nobody has gone before with my filing!!!!:rotfl:
I am still making good progress - have shredded another bin full and filed various bits and pieces - i was trying to purge as I went along but for now that has stopped as it was taking too long to check through stuff- I am just aiming to get things into folders and then will purge them - I have just come across a pile of papers from 2002 that can all be shredded so that will be another bin full!!
The table is now only 4/6 covered in papers so I can see a huge difference.:D
I have also done my sunday list - Yes I have a sunday list!! Its the only day I have a list for!!! I have to take a weekly tablet so that is done on a sunday because I cant eat or drink for an hour after or lie down!!!
I also charge up everything that needs it - mobile, bluetooth, camera, toothbrush, mp3
sort out my tablets for the week and re-order anything needed
wash my sleeping mask and hose

I put a chicken carcass in the slo cooker last night and had tasty stock this morning so have made a huge pot of chicken broth type soup - oooh it was good - had 2 bowlfuls for tea!! and ther's loads for the freezer when it cools.

now I am going to add up my grocery spend for august so I can post it ON GC thread.

Woohoo! I've finally managed to get to the end of the thread again, just in time for the start of the new one. Friends from London came over at around 12, but stupid friend who was meant to join us forgot what time I'd said in the text message on Friday (11am) and cos she texted me at 1am I was in bed asleep and didn't check my phone this morning. I called her at 11.40 when she hadn't turned up, and told her that it had been 11, and to come over asap as the other friends hadn't arrived, and she told me that because she hadn't heard, that another one of her friends was coming over to her for lunch at 2! She then had the cheek to say we must meet up soon as we haven't seen each other for ages! Well she can go take a running jump cos I'm certainly not going to put myself out for her! She could have called me when she didn't hear back!

At least I know that my flylady friends miss me enough to contact me, and I've never even met any of you!

Anyway, enough moaning. I got OH to do quite a bit of flying this morning, cos I managed to find a recipe for sour cream chocolate cake last night (tasted yummy), and wanted to make it this morning for our guests and obviously couldn't fly and bake at the same time. It worked quite well, although I had get the hoover out when I'd put the cake in the oven, cos OH had stopped cos the cat was scared, and only done half the flat. Will at least be starting the week with a reasonably clean slate.

I'm off to the supply agency tomorrow morning to get all of my paperwork done, and seeing as my P45 arrived on Thursday, this should make it all a lot easier to get me back on their payroll. I'd completely forgotten that - will have to work out what I'm going to wear, and will also have to get up early for a change.

Well I'd better stop nattering, cos by now I expect pigpen had put up the new list.

Take care everybody, and lots of hugs from me!

Me too - get really excited when I see a Staples (sad huh?) because we haven't gt one locally.
And when Paperchase opened in Meadowhall my excitement knew no bounds! Couldn't wait to get in there.
I'm very good - I just go and look a lot. So hardly surprising that I save files in my cabinet. I have coloured hanging files too - dead pretty! I am also, to the embarrassment of my children, prone to scrounging pens from banks, building societies etc...I do ask - like I really NEED a pen. I got a lovely pencil from the building society manager! Rarely use them!

Tootifrutti - i definately enjoyed the match and my side (Glasgow Rangers) won 4 - 2, against our bitterest of rivals, on their home ground. So very sweet:beer:

Havent done that much flying today, did the weekly food shop, made dinner, did a wash, S&S'd the kitchen, cleaned the fishtank(could barely see the poor wee things).
Just going to put monkey to bed then will try and study.

Oh btw, thank you for the suggestions for the sour cream and marrow Dusty. In the end I just chopped and boiled the marrow, and covered it in cheese sauce and grated cheese and put it under the grill. It was really nice, and we have quite a lot left over for tonight's meal, which will be the marrow with some pasta, and veggie bacon stirred into it. Can't wait for dinner, but OH is out at his shooting club til around 9, so it'll be a late dinner again. :(
I deliberately only had a jacket potato for lunch a) because the pub we went to was extortionate, and b) so that I'd have room for the homemade cake and the yummy homemade dinner.

Who was it who was talking about missing out on being drunk in gutters at 22? Was it Carol? I've been with OH since I was 19 (OH was 36) and so have not been enjoying the pleasures of drunkenness in gutters or the horrible hangovers that follow them for quite a while. However, I felt really old (25) when I went out with one of my friends on Friday (only 6 months younger than me) when we were clothes shopping, and she couldn't decide whether to buy a particular top. I told her that it wasn't very practical because she'd have to handwash it (silk) and how often would she wear it if she had to do that every time she wore it? I even mentioned at the time that I must be getting old, as I no longer consider buying clothes due to their prettiness, but due to the practicalities of owning them (ie no ironing, handwashing or drycleaning). lol
