OK it's American but good at setting out the way to plan the stages towards a 'long-term' goal.0 -
Soappie - do we not even get a clue?
DD has way too many clothes and she wears uniform for school every day. I shouldn't need to buy her any clothes for next year - I must learn to stop buying 'bargains' in the sales!
Could do with doing a HHC in my LR now.
DS's bedding in the WM seeing as he wet the bed last night and then I've got another load of my mum's washing to do. I don't really want to do all my washing today as I want to keep on top of the ironing at the same time without it getting overwhelming again.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Morning all
We had thick fog first thing this morning and now that's been washed away by heavy rain. So the washing is hung upstairs. Glad I did three loads yesterday so there's only one today.
Veggies prepared for dinner, which I think I'm going to be cooking at teatime today (if that makes any sense).
Otherwise, just pottering around. I've tidied up, but I do that every morning.0 -
Morning everyone!
I managed to get a lot more sleep last night, even though OH came up at just after 1am and woke me up - DD was outside, so I texted her that she had one minute to get in before I came out and started making a scene. I thought maybe embarrassing her might work. It did. She left scorch marks up the path...;)
johanne - Think how great it will be when they are all stuck in the school run, and you'll be in the prime of life, with your 18 year old off to uni... vomiting in gutters is grossly overrated as a way of spending your time.
Laura - have a lovely day, you've definitely earned it!
Froddington - hope you feel better again today! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Morning all,
Serena - I will set up an album on photobucket and send you an invite to view when I get a minute if you are interested? Don't want to clutter the thread with pictures of my very green garden.
I spent seven hours yesterday weeding, removing, and planting and I am stiff and sore. Still lots to do but most of it is looking much better. Green bin is full so can't do much more this week. I have just ordered lots of bulbs from Peter Nyssen as a reward. Thanks Serena, got a lot more for my budget than I would have done elsewhere.
I have cleaned the BR and done a couple of loads through the WM/TD. Need to go and strip the beds next and then do a quick run through of the ground floor and hoover before we go out.
I also need to find everything for DS2 who starts school in the morning. He was only 4 a few weeks ago and he just isn't big enough. sniff, sniff. He is very excited about it which is great, but I am very sad because I wont have my baby any more. On the positive side I will have a lot more time for gardening at least until I find some more consultancy work, and then hopefully have more money. and time for cleaning of course'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Ooooh hex, yes I want to see pictures! I'm gald that you like Peter Nyssen. Quality is also very good indeed. I haven't dared let myself look at the catalogue yet, as I don't get paid for anothe fortnight, but I may just take a little peek this evening!
Your DS is starting at just 4!! Actually, my neighbour's son is a late August birthday and started at 4 too. I deferred entry for my younger two, and they both started at 5 plus, straight into Year one.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Morning ladies
Sounds like you've all been busy-Soappie the ball looked like heaps of fun. I love those oppertunities to don the feather boas;)
Serena I know its horrible but I always have a bit of a giggle at the pictures you paint of your DD's antics. I hope she grows out of them soon-and if it takes longer just remember how I've turned out:) I was a horrible teenager and gave my folks huge sticks-and since I have my own now I am eternally grateful that that they stuck it out with me and I love them dearly. Best is they know it too.
Craftyscholar Thanks for the tip about the book. Im off to look for it now. Sounds interesting.
Laura D enjoy the christenings-they are such special occassions. And well done on the rest of your list today-see, you did get into the swing of things:)
Jjef What soups are you making? Ive never tried my own before but since I now have the SC and the BM I have no excuses, so could you send some tips my way please?
Froddington Big hugs hun.
I haven't looked at yesterdays posts (***sorry***) will do so later. And I didn't do much yesterday. DF had his first day home and I want him to go back to work already:( I picked up the lounge on Friday evening before bed and its all over the place now. And there was a mouse in the cabinet-definately. But now I dont know where its gone. Was in lots of pain yesterday as AF finally arrived and with a vengeance:eek: I felt the same as I did for the two days after my c-section. But I did get my control journal finished:j Now its just a case of constantly keeping it up to date. Went to do shopping yesterday and discovered I made a GROSS error on the whole deal. I had only added in mealplans for weekdays. No wonder Im somewhat over budget :wall: But see, thats just another point to note in the benefits of flylady. If I wasn't on top of it and using my control journal I wouldnt have noticed. So Im off to fix that now (I think DF has gone back to bed-he drank 15 beers last night:eek: )0 -
greenbee - And by the sounds of it, none of the other teachers posting here are very keen on doing their prep You noticed huh???!!!
I'm not much nearer, although I did think I could go and buy a folder each for Spanish and French. I'm another one here who loves to have a shiny new folder and a set of dividers...Just don't want to do the actual work involved! I'll be better later in the week.
Must go and put the chicken in the oven.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
And no - I'm not telling you which one I'm in - if any!

Soappie glad you have had a good few days but you are being really mean not telling us who is you - I did glance you once (via buster when we were orfing - mudbath and the squirrel:rotfl: ) So I might look again later.
Polly we have the same weather as you and thanks for the reminder that I have washing in the machine waiting to come out.
Julie and JJef re stabilisers - when I took mine off I took them to the rugby filed as there are no obstacles so they don't have to think about steering. Also check the saddle is low so they can put their feet flat on the floor - it is a great experience when they can finally do it.
I've done the two boxes in the kitchen from my list.
Time to clean the bathroom now and have a shower/bath the kids and then see what else is on my list.
Greenbee rain has stopped play so I can't do the garden toys and I so was going to do them today - they will have to reappear on the list for next week!
Ebay sales are going well.
BBQ with family is looking iffyThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Ok, morning all.

This is where I am at today (have added new bits on but also left on what was done yesterday to make me feel better and keep me motivated!)
