I honestly beleive my local Asda take advantage of people not checking their receipts. I bought hot dog sausages supposedl on offer at 2 for a pound. I noticed they went through at 98p each and went to CS. The lady sent someone to check the sign on shelf and when he confirmed yes they were on offer she refunded and gave me the two pound gift card. I was staggered though when she told him to go and remove the offer sign, I pointed out that it was 6.30 on a Saturday and I didnt think I was the only one who had bought these and been overcharged and by removing the sign more people would be overcharged. She said no on else had reported it and the sign had to be removed until the offer showed on the tills. It still had not been put right by the following Wednesday.

When we were growing up, the way we spoke was very important to my parents - particularly my dad, and slang words were not allowed - things like aint ect. We also had to pronounce our words properly so for example couldn't say swimmin - it had to be swimming. I rebelled for a while as a teenager but the way I speak now is definitely as a result of how we grew up.

Things like licking fingers whilst eating was also a no no - and yet, my dad would light up a cigarette at the dinner table once he had finished eating, even if we were still eating our meal  [As a non-smoker he hates to be reminded of that now :D ]

I've lived in a 38 acorn for a good few years now but don't share the same accent as many of our neighbours. DD2 needs reminding that she doesn't need to speak the same way at times though :D

Hey Sami - just noticed you're not a million miles from me.

Just put my postcode in that thing and got this

'Often, many of the people who live in this sort of postcode will be weathly working families with mortgages. These are known as Type 2 in the ACORN classification and 1.3% of the UK's population live in this type.'

Wouldn't have said it was a 2 if 1 is superposh more like a 4/5 but nice to know we bought a house in a good area even if it we did buy just before market started to drop :rotfl: . Have to laugh or I'll cry - won't be moving any time soon though which is good. :T
Do i get a prize for finding someone so posh?

PS. I could kick myself!! I was over charged in asda today and didn't check my receipt while I was in a rush
