I dont know if this is the case in lapdancing clubs but I worked in casinos for many years and we are not allowed to deal to people who we believe are not in control becasue of too much alcohol. They can claim back the money they lose claiming they were too drunk to gamble. It is part of all this responsible gaming the government brought out when casinos were legalised. Maybe a similar policy in lapdancing clubs??? Only a shot i know....

i wonder really if you were told a different total to the bill before you used each card, only to have them change it just before you used your pin number? if they were intending to steal that money from you, id have thought theyd make sure you had your receipts so youd assume that you mustve made these transactions and not questioning things like you are now

if his card was skimmed why has he got the recipts in his pocket ???

Im no master criminal but surely if i was gonna rob someone of money by skimming their card the last thing i would do is give them the reciepts because then they will stop their card and i wont be able to get any more money.

Some double bluff if it was skimmed

Not if it were a 'friend'?
Ever been stabbed in the back, I have, big time.
My 17 year marriage was stolen by my brother's fiance. We had a house. She wanted it.

I hope the op is ok.

I have Cookie - I have to wait 'til the 27th before I'm able to query the payments. Obviously in the meantime I'm trying to find out as much as possible about my rights. The CC Co haven't told me much else yet.

Emmy - that's certainly one of the things I've been wondering, because I can't believe I'd approve 4 x £1k tranx... Maybe they add a nought after getting your approval...? I dunno...

I guess the police (for CCTV footage), the licensing authorities (2 of the tranx were past their stated closing hours), and Trading Standards seem to be my options....
