Thanks Penguin, it's really got me thinking the 101 in 1001. You know those 'idle' moments whilst ironing or whatever little lists forming in my mind.
Waiting for review of toad and indian cod recipes..DC.

Thanks DC, I am making the recipes this week sometime, I have bought a small frozen toad in the hole to give to DD first to double check that she does actually like it before I attempt to make it!
I have paid another 100.00 to HSBC meaning that the balance with them is 100.00, our month starts on Tuesday so will work out the budget and hopefully be able to clear the rest of HSBC on Monday. Also need to send a letter to CSL offering full and final payment - will do that tomorrow.
Had the appt with the psych for DS on Thurs. It seemed to go ok, lots and lots of questions but its all necessary I suppose. Received DS's welcome pack from the mainstream school he 'should' have been going to (the same was as DD) felt very sad getting it - I wasn't expecting to feel that way as I pretty much knew a while ago he wouldnt be going to mainstream but hey ho.
Pretty much been told that his statement wont be finalised in time for Sept so he is likely to start school after October half term, he can stay on at nursery until then which is good but extra fees that we werent expecting to pay.
My brother has announced that he and his gf are engaged, so happy for them and my DD gets to be a bridesmaid, luckily they are not getting married until next year so it gives me time to get to target weight.
Last bit of news is that my uncle died this morning after a long illness, it was expected but never a nice thing. Havent spoken to my nan yet (he was her brother, my great uncle) but my mum has been with her today.
Hope everyone is well, hopefully in the next update HSBC will be gone (well almost we have 2 other debts with them) x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

LOL - you're doing great with both the debt busting and the weight loss. Toad in the hole is great and relatively simple - the key is to get the fat in the tin really hot before you add the sausages & batter...oh, and to not be tempted to open the oven door on it in the first 15 minutes of cooking! Brown the sausages off well beforehand and you'll be fine.
Hi EH - thanks for the tip, I learnt about leaving oven doors well alone on my first disasterous attempt at a cake that sunk :rotfl:ps what do I use as fat - oil I'm guessing? (I know I sound pathetic but I am a relatively new cook!) x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Penguin re the toad. You can use vegetable oil or sunflower. I'm with Essex on browning the sausages first. Good thinking on the frozed toad first !
Thoughts with you and yours over your uncle. Expected or not it's always a shock.DC.

Thanks DC, he is at peace now, he spent the last few weeks in hospital which is a shame but at least he was comfortable. I feel for his wife as they never had children and spent all their time together.
I have picked up a stomach bug courtesy of DS, so have been feeling awful all day, OH is at work but the children were little angels tonight, DD even brought me her sick bowl bless her. Looking on the bright side it should help my weight loss this week! :rotfl:
In work tomorrow and we are really short staffed so heres hoping I feel better after a decent sleep.
Anyways thats where I am off to now, hope everyone is well, be back tomorrow when hopefully I can report HSBC as gone x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Yeay HSBC has been paid off :j:j:jfreeing up £100.00 per month to go to the other debts. Next one to go is BarclayLoan (CSL) current balance £2230.00 in my name, aiming to clear this in 3 months on a reduced settlement. Will work out how much I have towards it so far.
My monthly payments to it are 240.00 so over 3 months will pay off 720.00 + 300.00 that has been freed up by paying off HSBC is 1020.00. Going to offer them 1100.00 payable over 3 months so shouldnt have to 'find' too much extra to be shut of them.

Thanks you two - heres hoping CSL accept now, but in worse case scenario if they don't I should be able to clear it in about 5 months, they have offered me a reduced settlement before but I couldnt afford it then, fingers crossed x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
