That's fantastic, and it's great you are both committed to this - it's difficult when one wants to give up and the other doesn't. extra tenner already is brilliant.

Thank you Skint and Taxi, just got home and I am shattered so just a short one tonight!

Still havent smoked and neither has OH, it is now over 51 hours (not that I am counting!) and we have saved £20.00 in our little tin.

Taxi - the inhalator doesnt really taste of anything, its a bit strange, you just get a mild burning sensation on your tongue and at the back of your throat but it does take away the cravings. You can use up to 12 cateridges a day but I have only been using 1.

    Back later x x x x

Evening all, OH and I are both still smoke free, it will be one week tomorrow and we have another appt at the stop smoking clinic tomorrow.

Not much more exciting to report, DS has his speech therapy on Tuesday and DD has her sports day on Thursday. I am working all week but have got the afternoon off for her sports day.

Need to work out the budget tonight as I have pennies in my account but need to make sure I have enough for all the bills.

OU assignment was submitted on Friday and will be about 2 weeks until I get the results and the next one is due in about 2 weeks after that.

I have started another one of my 101 in 1001 which is to read the books listed in the BBC's top 100 books of all time. Ordered the first one from Amazon yesterday, it is one of Salman Rushdies - Midnight Children or something like that. Must really type my list in to some sort of logical order so it makes it easier to follow.

Hope everyone is well - how long do people think it is until you can class yourself as a non smoker? I want to cross it off my list - maybe after 3 months or something???

  • Hello

Well done on the smoking front. I think you need to be smoke free for a year to class yourself as a non smoker. Im sure it will fly by while you are concentrating on other stuff like OU, Kids and DFW.

Fingers crossed you get a good score on the assignment

Evening everyone, bit of a late one for me tonight. I cannot sleep in this weather so have been having a few late nights!

Few bits of good news today. First one is that OH and I are still not smoking. Today is day 10 and its going well. Not felt too bad and not tried to kill each other - which is always a bonus! This is the longest either of us have been smoke free (excluding my pregnancies) and I know it is nothing to write home about yet but its good going so far.

Next bit of news is that we are now sub 30k :j:j:j:j

Balance of debt as of today is 29,908.49. It has been a long time coming but more exciting than that is I only have to pay another 1902.17 and then I will have paid £20,000 off our debt since the start in June 2007.

DD had her sports day today which she enjoyed but these non competitive ones are nowhere near as good as the old traditional ones.

Not much more to report at the mo, will update sig when I am more with it tomorrow.

    Speak soonx x x
