Evening everyone - been at work today and playing with the kids this evening. OH is working all night tonight to try and boost the funds so I havent seen him today!
Have printed out my SOA in all pretty colours in order of importance and am ticking off as I go along what has been paid. Have £45.00 in the house and £80.00 coming tomorrow so that is 125.00 (100.00 for the gas bill) leaving 25.00 plus OH earnings tonight to pay the council tax of 107.00 (due 09/09). Horse wont need anymore spending on her until Friday and we will need food shopping on Thursday but have 24.00 vouchers from surveys towards that.
Phew - its slowly working out and I am getting back into the routine of checking everything daily.
Taxi - we settle the car so any repairs/tyre changes are done by the owners (at their cost). This is one of the reasons why we didnt buy a new car when the last one got too old to plate as it is handy not having to find money to repair and if the worst happens and the car is off the road they will provide a replacement - they are not the greatest cars but all earn the same money!
ISOM - horse is an absolute sweetheart bless her and has given me 15 years enjoyment and kept me safe! I have given up with Sky and letting OH sort it out - he is a lot more forceful than me!
Olive - Some sort of book keeping course is something I will definately be looking into.
I forgot to mention as well that I save for christmas via work direct from my wages - I did it last year and it was great having cash paid out, it also prompted me to spend less as all the left over money went on the debt. I am due to have 1000.00 paid out in November this year.
Thanks again everyone for your input - you are all stars! x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Morning everyone - day off for me today yeay! Havent touched bank account so we are still ok for the bills due out. We have 130.00 in the house but I am taking DD out today as it is the last day I will be off work before she goes back to school. Hopefully wont be too expensive though and what is left over will go towards the council tax (107.00 due 08/09).
Have to do some food shopping tomorrow - I have 28.00 in asda vouchers so I am going to see how far i can stretch that!
Lilac - hope your OH is ok and he is at a closer hospital.

Back from day out with DD and we are both exhausted so she will hopefully sleep well tonight. I really need a new job, this one is making me ill and affecting everyone around me too - all the money in the world isnt worth that! I just need to pluck up some courage over the next few months and have a good think about what I really want to do.
Didnt spend too much today so going to count up what is left in the house which will hopefully be enough to bank tomorrow and pay council tax with.
Hope everyone has had a good day! x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

I agree....your health and well being is what is important. I gave up my job in May as it was making me soooooo ill! Things are tight and I am using my savings and adding to it by selling at car-boots and dress-exchanges. I have tons of stuff! I grow my own veg and our food allowance is £30 pw for two adults and a very hungry 15yr old, that never stops eating! We keep well within this budget.
We still have our days and nights out and don't seem to lack in anything. Our lives are put into perspective to what really matters in life.
Good for you for doing something about your situation. I'm routing for you and look forward to this thread!:TLiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

Thank you Brum - its nice to see someone who has come out the other side so to speak! I have spent all night looking and so far I have found some jobs that I am really interested in in different departments (and locations) sometimes a change is as good as a rest! Unfortunately they arent advertising in my area yet but I can do it as a transfer request which makes the process easier!
My real passion would be to work with horses again. Realistically this is something I would like to do once I am debt free as pay is not great but if we were debt free that wouldnt matter and I would be doing what I really love.
If thats not something to get me focussed I dont know what is!
On a brighter note I have 110.00 left from today so that is to go in the bank tomorrow and thats council tax paid for september. x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
