Penguin - thanks for asking about OH. He has been discharged home thank god. We have to attend our local hospital tomorow just to make sure the clot is still breaking up.

Looks like he won't be working for a bit tho and when he does go back he won't be doing physical labour. Thankfully I am the main wage earner anyway and we have a 5k overdraft on our current account that we never use so with some belt tightening we should manage with very little effect on our DFD but we know we have a cushion there if he is off for alot longer than expected.

Glad that OH has been discharged Lilac - hope today went well.

Today has been ok - have spent £35.00 on the horse but nothing else so far!
Bank account currently stands at 1245.22.

Debits due out between now and 03/09 comes to 1140.53 which leaves £104.69. I also have £109.00 in the house to put in the bank on Monday for Council Tax so need to find another 40.00 to pay the phone bill - phew its getting confusing!

Have been doing loads of surveys and have just ordered a voucher from pigsback and still have my 28.00 asda vouchers to do some shopping with. OH has also accepted a mystery shop for next week and quidco is due to pay out 80.00 to me. Things are starting to look up! **touches wood***

OH working all weekend he needs to earn over the next 3 nights 80.00 (settle) 80.00 (car) 160.00 (nursery) 55.00 (fuel) 40.00 (food shopping) which is 415.00 - arrgghhh!

Plan to do a load of housework tomorrow while the site is down to try and get the house back into some sort of order. I also want to list some more books on Amazon and Green Metropolis.

Still havent weighed myself so that is something to look forward to this weekend!

Hope everyone is keeping wellx x x

I must have a similar amount to lose too Taxi - I'll start this week by weighing myself tomorrow and working out an eating plan over the weekend. Trying to figure out how I can include chocolate in it! x x

I'm going on the weight management plan at the Drs it's an eight week course and runs one afternoon a week for two hours.I'm waiting to hear when the next one starts but they said it's not like a silly diet or anything..they can even give exercise on prescription...(that's a step too far for me at the moment)...so will just eat healthily until then and see if I can lose a few pounds before going.
I think the odd occassional chocolate can't do any harm though as a treat..Perhaps we can support each other.

That sounds really good what your going on - I wonder if my area does something similar? I have been offered diet pills in the past but have avoided it as I am purely overeating (im a greedy mare!) I have done slimming world in the past but its quite pricey so will follow the basics of the plan as I know I enjoy it and take it from there.

Im game if you are! x x

  • I wouldn't worry too much about weight as we are all up and down. I am determined myself to stick to diet and get out walking a bit more.
