The £2 for car parking is a con and OH just called me, he has hurt his side and is coughing up blood  . Looks think the cold he had has turned into a chest infection  . He is working around 100 miles away from home in inverness so is getting medical help up there but it looks like he will have to come home. That means I will have to drive up and get him using petrol we don't really have
. Obviously his health is more important than anything but it means we will be starting another month on the back foot so to speak.
I hope he is alright LP, how soon will you know if he has to come home?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I know BOB I have been saying about changing suppliers since day one here which was 14 months ago! We are with N Power and pay 100.00 pm gas and I pay the electric when the bill comes once every 3 months - last one was 150.00 - so about 50 pm. I tries U switch but have no idea of our usage and havent a clue where the bills are - that is my job when the kids go back to school to sort the paperwork out!
Must not touch bank account and that will be fine. Trying to figure out if I am brave enough to post my up to date SOA! It might shock me into action. x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

I bet the silly man has been sore for ages but put off going to the Dr. :rolleyes:MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Hi Penguin..only just found this thread....you are taking positive action and there are a few good things in there..you have enough in the bank for those bills...you have enough to cover some of the other stuff as well...so all good...
£100 p/m for gas is awful ouch !!!!...but all that expensive stuff is out of the way now.
A SOA is perhaps a good idea.I feel for you not knowing how much is coming in from week to week as we are the same. That's why I find A SOA hard to do.
Lilacpixie...sorry to hear about your DH hope he gets better soon.0 -
Lilac - hope your OH is ok - sounds nasty. Dont worry about hijacking - the more the merrier!
Taxi - thanks for the comments, it is a lot better than I thought - just not as good as usual! The soa is a nightmare to do, but OH likes having a target to work towards so I just set a target for 6 days a week (slave driver I am!) to give a rough figure.
SOA on its way but dont shout! x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Thanks Bob - Mortgage is repayment. Will definately look into utilities - have turnips at the ready, they may need to be rotten! Car insurance is actually pretty cheap for hire and reward but will still look in case we can find better. Nursery fees will stop in Sept 09 but we may need to pay for DS to go private if he doesnt get the state school that he needs but that is a last option so hopefully we wont need to go down that road. The food is a definate contender to reduce we have to buy 3 big packs of nappies a week for DS though and that is about 27.00 but that technically would come from his DLA money anyway. Cigs is another definate reduction - I used to have about 3 a day but this has risen to about 10 -OH also smokes but he doesnt want to quit at the mo unfortunately. x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

I assume from livery that you have a horse? is there any way you could share this with someone? takes the pressure of financially and ractically. also could you spend less on mobiles and just use in a dire emergency. re petrol can some be claimed back for tax? well done on doing an soa though...I never have. also can you reduce sky package for a while? phone, broadband and mobiles costing you an awful lot each month....keep up the good work though!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
