  • the trouble with spending in the summer is that you never recover cos all of a sudden its C********. and that takes all your extra money!

Its a pain that your incomings aren't a set amount tho that used to drive me nuts when I worked for agencies.

    Nevertheless she persisted.

I know Buffy - I was just thinking that - I have actually been saving with work for Christmas which pays out in November - if I am super organised I can use most of it to pay off debts instead of spending too much on the kids for a change! x

  • This time of year is always expensive, i am handing money out hand over fist..but at least here we are more aware of it and take remedial action to counteract and balance it a bit!

so if you want a big kick with a sloppy fish ..let me know. Although it will more likely be lobbing with a turnip!:rotfl: :rotfl:

We have had a disasterous few months too. Far too many take aways, clothes for the girls, my car's MOT was over £300 etc etc.

I had a vauge attempt at the grocery challenge this month but we are over already with a week to go. Its all just pants.

Ooh Bob - slapping with a wet fish and turnip lobbing - do you think we can charge for that!

Princess - thank you - I do tend to forget the good things we have done and just focus on the bad. Typical of me!

Lilac - you sound just like me! Meet my grocery budget by about day 10! and ouch for the MOT!

Thanks everyone - I have done all the surveys in my inbox - started getting quite a few vouchers through a couple of months ago and then stopped doing them. I havent looked at the massive phone bill yet though - putting that off till tomorrow! x x

Penguin - I really don't think the weather is helping either. Rain is so depressing.

Had a similar month myself with a £300 car repair - funny how I always seem to say, "Next month, it'll be better........." then something else goes wrong!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
