Well so far I have managed not to spend any money but I have only been up an hour so not the greatest achievement! I am going to sort out a budget for September - my bank balance is scaringly (is that a word?) low and mortgage is due out on the 03rd so need to make sure there is enough for that.

Bathgate - it seems to have been a crappy month for cars - they must give up the ghost in August! x x

ok seeing as there a few of us lets just stop faffing and get back on track! Lets do a wee pledge to each other, put the past behind and move forward with renewed vigour! so far a nsd for me - one advantage of having stitches accross your back!

Every cloud ISOM! Hope you are feeling better!

I am definately going to look forward instead of back - today is the closing ceremony of the Olympics - by the opening ceremony of London I want to be debt free and sitting in the crowd cheering away!

And unfortunately its not just financially things have been slipping - its everything housework, diet, keeping in touch with friends and relatives, health I could go on!

So today its a NSD, a healthy food day and get cracking on the tidying.

Heres the list so far -

- Tidy Living Room - done
- Tidy Hall - done
- Do a wash - done
- Healthy lunch and tea
- Start working on Sept budget
- Stop procrastinating!

Ok time for some maths - my bank balance hasnt been this low for ages sob!

Money due 28/08 850.00
Total - 1189.18 (on the 01/09/08)

To go out
Mortgage 931.13 (03/09)
Payment 50.00 (01/09)
Payment 20.00 (01/09)
Payment 139.50 (01/09)

Total - 1140.63

So my account will be ok until the 03rd IF I dont touch it! Thats a bit of a relief!

So OH earnings need to pay for nursery, water, gas, phone bill, food and horse until the 09 September when the next lot of money comes.

Phew - now off to figure out the rest of the month! x

Well done for doing the figures..think I will give mine a miss this month (although will prob end up doing them out of curiosity!). well done for doing yours. must start doing surveys again and pigsback...been remiss of late!

Morning all - did all my jobs from yesterday - just polishing halo now!

Have counted up money in house so far and have 270.00 so that will go

30.00 - take with me today on day out with kids (not expecting to spend it though!)
160.00 - nursery
80.00 - car payment

and thats that gone! Change from today (which I am hoping to be about 20.00) plus OH's earnings tonight to pay for 100.00 gas bill - I really am going to have to look into changing suppliers!

On the housework front - I am going out at midday so will re-tidy the living room and hall - put another wash on the line and do the washing up.

On the diet front - had a packet of crisps without even thinking this morning - must break that habit but wont have anything to eat while I am out and will have something nice when I get home.

On the health/exercise front - no exercise and have had 2 cigs so far this morning..... hmmm must make more effort here!

Well my day is turning from bad to worse. I have physio at 2pm but don't think i will go. The £2 for car parking is a con and OH just called me, he has hurt his side and is coughing up blood :eek: . Looks think the cold he had has turned into a chest infection :eek: . He is working around 100 miles away from home in inverness so is getting medical help up there but it looks like he will have to come home. That means I will have to drive up and get him using petrol we don't really have . Obviously his health is more important than anything but it means we will be starting another month on the back foot so to speak.

But in all honesty you have exactly the same amount in your bank account as me! I have a few things coming in though so not as scarey as it seems and all bills are paid so far..touch wood!:o

Oh no Lilac - really hope OH is ok - make sure he gets it checked out, if he is anything like my OH and is likely to put it off!

As you say health comes first but I know what you mean - one thing after another! x x
