CQ - great to see you around. Any chance you can spare your son to cook for other OSers? Pretty please?

PP - sorry to hear you're still not feeling too great. It's good that hopefully your westie will still be living nearby, so you'll still be able to see him.

MATH - :rotfl: and I thought it was just me that did things like that.

Another day at school, so a bit more money earnt. Good job as it's nearly Christmas. I really don't want to carry on this hand to mouth existence, but there are so many things that need doing before Christmas - on top of all the presents that need to be bought - that I may well be overdraft free by 2010. Then again, maybe not. There are 3 of those book sellers in the school at the moment (where they drop off the selection of books and gifts for a week or so), so I'll be rooting through those for good presents. Luckily, my family won't care if they just get books.

One lady who works in the school has just given me a bag full of cooking apples. I need to go on the recipe thread for ideas, but can you freeze crumble? At what stage would I freeze it?

I've got some chicken out of the freezer for tea, so supper will either be "Italian chicken" or a curry. Hmmmmm............... I may suggest to OH that he cooks when he gets home :D Then he can make the decision!

    Bye folks!

I've always frozen mine from cooked. I think you can freeze crumble mix separately to use later - but if you're making a crumble with apple I'd be inclined to cook it first.

it has been so warm and sunny here today , can't belive the weather for november. had to pop to town to get my son a tin of baby milk , walked my 2 year old and it wore her out bless, she fell asleep in car on way home , bliss so i could put the shopping away while both kids asleep.
my online banking has just been set up so i've had a play with that and thing i got the hang of it, that should save me some time in keep going to the bank for mini statement's.
not really had a very OS day today. dinner was scampi and chips. seeing as i have so many chips now i think i need to make up some different dinners which include chips.
kids both sound asleep. got some ebay parcels to wrap up in a bit. just had a huge mug of tea with a mince pie. yummy.

MATH what a star you are...:D You lot have now inspired me to get the slow cooker out, it's washed and ready to switch on in the morning, all the ingredients chopped and in the fridge, meat out of freezer etc. I have even soaked some pulses, it took about 10 mins to prepare everything, might even get OH to sort it out in the morning if I don't have tme.

I haven't got the bread maker out yet but watch this space;)
