    Morning all

(((hugs))) to everyone who needs them. I'd quite like some more sleep but that's not going to happen until tonight :)

Need to put WM on again, but it's a lovely suny day so it can go outside. DS1's bed need stripping and his room tidying, so that can be first. Also need to make a veggie soup as I have some stock and veggies in the fridge that need more of an introduction than being on neighbouring shelves :D Want to make chicken nuggets for tea, but I'm going to blitz them with other ingredients today to see what they are like. I'm sure I saw a post where someone said they blitzed with apple and/or onion, so will have a trawl for that.

My Xmas boxes are finished so they can go with DS2 to pre-school this afternoon. Then it's just a plain shoebox and some bits with DS1 when he goes to Beavers tonight, so they can make their own.

Mystery shopping job in town this aft too, so can use the fact they pay for petrol/parking to get the bits I forgot from Holland and Barrett yesterday :D

OK, catch ya all later. I must remember to watch This Morning cos David Seaman is having his ponytail cut off for charity. About time too - if ever a man needed a hair cut :D

    Morning!

I was out in the evening yesterday so brought 2 HM meals to work - one for lunch, one for dinner. My colleagues teased me at first for eating my evening meal at my desk, but then ridicule turned to jealousy and they all started drooling over my sausage and bacon pasta bake!:rotfl: I jokingly offered to make them all HM food as well - though I hope they don't think I was serious cos I can't see my housemate taking kindly to me monopolising our tiny kitchen (in HIS house) even more than I already do! Could be a nice little sideline though in theory - lets say one of those meals works out at 60-70p a portion for ingredients, I could sell them for £2.50... :rotfl:

Out again this evening so I've got another 2 HM meals with me (I've got free press tickets to see Madam Butterfly and am taking my colleague who has never been to an opera before).

    Have a good day :D

    Morning all:hello:

Day off today. Have taken DS1 to school & now have to wait in for a parcel delivery (xmas pressies via Amazon) Plenty of jobs I need to do today,so thought I'd list them (in an attempt to get me motivated!!)

    1. Put away all ironing/dried washing
    2. Clear up piles of papers that need sorting/filing/recycling etc..
    3. Sew name tags in my son's 2 new school sweatshirts/polo shirts (he's suddenly shot up so have had to buy bigger sizes)
    4. Vacuum & general tidy-up
    5. Quick clean of bathroom
    6. Prepare tea (sorry..that's what we call 'dinner') for tonight - think I'll do cheese and swede/potato pie with veg

Somewhere in there, I've also got to find time to play with/amuse DS2 (he's currently watching Barney)

Hope everyone has an EXCELLENT day! Hope everyone feels better soon!

Morning all, can someone give me a swift kick as I am getting ridiculously depressed about the state of my house. I'm so tired and nearly fell asleep over the back of the sofa when I was putting some DVD's away.

I've nearly finished unpacking the boxes downstairs but all I can think about now is the 10 boxes of toys stacked in the childrens room with nowhere to put any of it :(

I haven't even made the beds this morning yet I haven't stopped working since I got up at 6.30 but it still looks like I haven't done a thing :(

(((((Moggins)))) Put your feet up, and have a coffee. Then go back to it with fresh eyes and a fresh heart. Remind yourself of how much you've managed to do in such a short time, and DONT feel guilty / bad about what's left to do.

Another working from home day today, as my car has gone in for a service.
We're off to Bruges for a long weekend tomorrow, so need to get organised for that. Of course my clothes have been sorted & laid out on the spare bed since last weekend, but DH will no doubt come home at 6.30pm & decide that everything he wants to take needs washing/drying/ironing.

Steak is out of the freezer for tea & need to find something for lunch. I think there's a thai green curry lurking in there somewhere.

    Morning all :hello:

Yesterday I washed all the dishes and baked 4 dozen mince pies  I also sorted out all the DIY stuff thats stored in the kitchen (no where else to put it!) and washed down tiles and worktop in anti-bac spray. Last night I did the majority of the ironing while watching CSI: Miami but my back started hurting (I pulled something on Saturday and was in pain all day) so I left it. While lounging around on the bed I saw an advert for a tall and thin Christmas Tree from Tesco so going to go have a look on their website for that since we need a new one ;)

Plans for today include going for a top up shop at ASDA (need milk and bread so will get some other bits at the same time). I might even have a look around to see if I can see some pressies for OH/DD/family. Nothing else really for me to do so I think I might have a go at typing up more ebay items ready for listing tomorrow.

Lunch for me is whatever I feel like having :p Tea is supposed to be Coq au van (sp?) which we were supposed to have last night but I forgot to get the chicken out Monday night  It's defrosting in the fridge ATM so we'll see.

  • Morning all :)

Apologies for my miserable post yesterday, was just feeling sorry for myself. Thank you to Penny Pincher for your message, it's good to know i'm not alone in how i feel :)

Anyway, DD is at playgroup until 10.30am then i have to pick her up and take her to the doctors for her jabs :( I hate her having them, my mam is coming with me for moral support! Then she is having her hair cut at 4.30pm as the photographer is coming to playgroup tomorrow and i want to get a really nice pic of her so i can put copies in Xmas cards for family etc.

DD had Rice Crispies and orange juice for breakfast, i've just had a cup of tea as i'm not hungry. Dinner is scrambled egg on toast for me and chucky egg and soldiers for DD. Tea will be Chilli con carne and potato wedges.

    Take care all

There I was about to shut down the computer and head off to Asda when I heard a really loud noise from outside. I went to investigate and it was a heavy shower of...hailstones!!!!!! I think Winter is here!:D

Good morning all - Busy working day here today - but 2 little ones are currently fast asleep - bless!

We've made chirstmas stockings this morning - well I cut them out and they've scribbled and stuck things all over them (trying to get a few bits done now as I won't be seeing them so much on the run up to xmas)

DH's birthday today - we woke him at 6am with a huge box filled with silly little presents, all individually wrapped and loads of selloptape (evil? me? never! ;) ) He's gone off to work a happy chappy with lots of sweeties, all HM of course.....coconut ice (looked yummy) peppermint creams topped with choccy, choccy orange mini rice crispie cakes and marzipan fruits...all lovingly made by hand last night! We made enough so that everyone in the office can have 2 of each (and there's 30odd in the office!!!!!!!!)

Got a chicken curry all made in the fridge to heat through for our dinner tonight, DD's are having cheesy pasta with cauliflower and ham (their fav) Will push the boat out and light a few candles and run him a nice bath too.

Really need to reign the budget in for the rest of the month - spent far to much at Bluewater yesterday (although none of it went on credit cards) and now have £3.98 in the bank until next monday....I'm going to try and not do a food shop this week - we've got plenty in and I'll do a top up for fruit and veg on monday.

Right - need to unload DW and WM and TD before little ones wake up - then it's time to go in the garden for a bit of fresh air and while they play I can have a tidy up out there of all the toys that seem to have been left out again!!

    Have a wonderful day all.
