Hello Curry Queen :hello: glad to hear that you are feeling a wee bit better. I too "lurk" and post only when I feel up to it:o but I love to see what everyone else is getting up to.

Hi hun, nice to see you too :D

It does help just reading sometimes doesn't it! I'm feeling much brighter just since coming on here today, especially having just read MATH's post ;)

You must be very proud of your son CQ maybe another chef in the making? Hope you continue to make good progress. You have been missed!

    Love Catz

    Thanks hun! :A

I'm quite impressed with DS as he seems to have a natural talent in the kitchen and often when we discuss food he'll come up with some brilliant ideas of what to try out. He made a salad to go with the quiche the other day and won't tell me exactly what went into the dressing but it was delicious! ... although I know there was lime juice in it as he left the squeezed out skins on the side ;)

It was his idea to sprinkle grated cheese over mackerels on toast and grill lightly too, something I've never tried before, and it was lovely! So cheap and easy to make, yet nutritious and yummy! :T

He doesn't want to be a chef though cos he's going to be England's greatest footballer when he grows up ;):D

He sounds like a little angel, you are lucky to have him. Trying to train Step daughter 2 when we have her over to stay. She's picky about food, but is happy to eat things if she makes it herself....its so she knows whats gone into it.

She does make meals at home, but generally its the 'stick the chips in the oven type'.

Good to see you are a bit better Curry Queen and well done to your son. I've only been lurking and not posting recently owing to health and other probs. Hugs to all who need them, hope the nasty bugs clear up soon.

Thanks for the laugh Math. I needed that!

I've just spent 2 hours on ebay trying to find something for OH for Xmas to put in his stocking and I've now got 9 items being watched but thats it  I've just hit a brick wall and I've run out of ideas major style. I think...and dare I say this... I might be "xmas gifted out" Think I will leave early to collect DD and have a look for some little things that can go in his stocking as he has nothing ATM except for some choccie coins  In fact, I think I'll leave now....

  • With the news that Curry Queen is doing well and Maths adventures into the washing machine you guys have just cheered me up no end!

I am having another crappy day, though I am showered and dressed which is an improvement. Though my hair is still a mess and no make up but there you go. My legs are feeling better now, well they are aren't giving way so much now. I have a real sore throat though and the migrain has been hanging on for three days now, grrrr. I have to decide if i'm well enough for work tomorrOw? I hate having to decide.

I am having a lazy day today, I over did it yesterday and am paying for it now. I made a mess of the HM pizzas last night too which was a shame, the bases were too thick and tastsed very salty. I also managed to weld them to the grease proof paper?? Don't ask as I have no idea!!! OH loved his though, he is Sicilian and he tells me that it tasted just like his nans (I get the feeling he was just being nice to me but he did eat all of it and then some of mine so who knows!). I wanted to make a shepherds pie but can't find a recipe, I did ask my mum to write hers down but she hasn't yet! I wanted it for tonight, might just have jacket spuds instaed.

Anyway, I hope that the happy news and silly stories on here cheer you all as much as they have me. Have a lovely afternoon all.

Lovely to hear from you Curry Queen:j

Laughed out loud at Math and his free cabaret for the onlookers.

Had a horrible headache and felt sick so have spent most of the day in bed and feel a lot better now.

Dinner will be pasta for DDs and DH is having lunch out so will not want more than cheese on toast or something like that.
