Has anyone else heard of paypal holding payments until feedback is left ??

If I leave him a negative then his money will still be on hold for 21 days, so I doubt he would send the item, and to be honest I wouldnt blame him I think this new paypal/feedback stinks (and I'm the buyer) :rolleyes:

just to bring this upto the top,my buyer has finally left me positive feedback, but funds are still on hold. Anyone know how long it takes for the two sites to talk to each other and release the funds?

It took until 4AM the next morning from the feedback being left for me, so much for the funds being released 'immediately' from feedback been left!

ok, just checked mine and they are still on hold, bit of cheek if you ask me, but what can you do. nearly sold all my stuff and i'll probably just buy from then on, my buyer annoyed me alittle because when i told her that the payment was put on hold, she came back saying dont worry i'm a honest person, then took her 3 days to leave feedback!!!

All the changes have only led to buyers and sellers becoming far more untrusting of each other.

The community spirit that once existed has long gone.

This has just happened to me but I meet all the criteria for it not to happen
and none of the criteria for it to happen????? I have been left positive feedback and still money is being held??

With the amount of documented problems you have had over th epast few months if all those resulted in a complaint by the buyer, in any form, then you have probably fallen foul of the following: "5% of your transactions result in dissatisfied buyers."

Always worth a stint on ebay live though to make sure nothing else is happening.

Would a financial ombusdsmen uphold this new system or is it out of their jurisdiction

Is their any experts out there who would know, I wouldnt have a clue.

I just think this is totally unfair and wish something could be done for ebay to scrap this new policy.

I feel it is the beginning of the end for ebay, what small time seller or everyday person is going to feel confident selling now, it will be big companies, and the variety of choice will be lost

i am still waiting for my funds to clear, from two weeks ago! Item has been received by buyer (item tracked on royal mail) and despite me emailing them to politely ask for feedback, none has been left! i can only assume that when the three weeks is up next week, i will receive my money?

I doubt very much i will be selling another large item this way :mad:

Anyone not able to get their money even though feedback was left?

It was left over 2 days ago now, 3x positive feedback for 3 seperate items. And still says on hold post now. It's not immediately release at all. All the account is linked etc. What a farce. I have sold, the buyer is happy and still can't have my money.
