    Hi Buffy,

just popping in to say that :

1- you are a fabulous person full of warmth caring & humour :A

2- you are a fabulous person who deserves to have fun :j

3- you are a fabulous person & if you want to celebrate christmas - do it :D

4- you are a fabulous person & your sis & b/f are probably jealous :p

5- I think the best thing I've read this year is a Joanne Harris book where a character is given a hard time by others & is advised to hold her head high, look her tormentors straight in the eye & say "F*ck off, I'm fabulous". I've taken this to heart as my mantra & urge you to do the same - there are occasions when it's best to say the words under your breath though ;) .
Try it, it's fun I promise.

Take care & have a dodgy :grouphug: & some of these too :

    :xmastree: :xmassign: :snow_grin :rudolf: :santa2: :snow_laug :xmassmile

  • Once again my online friends come to the rescue!

    thank you xxxxxxxx

Well I went to the doctors, she was very nice and listened to me.

I have antibiotics for my skin and a tablet to take every day to help me sleep. I feel a bit better. well a lot better really. at least she believed me and I am going to get a letter to give to work about my migraines.

Today at work I was pretty short with people but got a lot more done. I wasn't rude I just wasn't all that chatty? I also got cover which was very annoying, since I have now only two hours without lessons this week and my Hod wants taught lessons not ones were the kids work in silence so I can get some marking done.

the kids were good today and at least my frees are definite now I have done my one cover.

The six hour driving lesson is cos I quit a intensive and my instructor has kindly offered to do it a day at a time. I am not happy exactly but I want it out of the way?

right best get on with marking!

thank you again you are all very kind.

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Xmas Saver!
Buffy, you are a fab person, and from your posts you have such a heart of gold, you just have been dealt a bad set of cards, ok in an ideal world we could exchange those set of cards for all aces, but in reality we can only change one at a time, by my reading you've changed a good few, your on top of your debts, you've got your driving sorted, if there not a chance you could break it into 3 x 2 hrs lessons over the weekend, as a driver myself, I know from experience that 4hrs driving is more than plenty for me, (thats the Devon run, but have to have comfort stops), I couldnt concentrate that long.

Your going to shout at me, but you need to take a break, I know you have mum, and your at home, but you still need a life. As you know Im still at home and have dd, but I try to get a holiday for just me, not from a selfish point that I dont love my dd, but I need to remember who me is, things never worked out this yr, the family hols went off,( but the 4 days I had to me, I was in a state, but that was becoz the neighbour situ.)

Maybe doing the dolls house will be a good help, can you get mum involved, even if its a small part, may give her a feeling of belonging being accpeted. I dont know how long it is since you lost ur dad, but maybe mum needs some help (sorry not intruding, writing from the heart), maybe Cruse.

Re xmas day at your sisters, just think it is one day out of 365, I guess there is the last place you want to be, can you make Boxing day, an xmas day part 2 at home. Thats what we do, for some reason dd asked could we go to the pub for xmas lunch, so we make boxing day part 2, doing the family things, (lets hope Kung Fu panda will only be on once).
Can you not speak to mum about xmas, or try and come to a comprismise by decorating your rm, is there a consevetary or another rm you could put a tree in, so its there but not in her face.

Re docs, I really glad that you have someone on your side, as sometimes not all the boxes get ticked and you feel let down.

Have you had chance to appeal for the OU, even if you dont do a course this term, theres always the next term, if your looking at the law side were you doing W100 Intro to Law.

I just dont think there is enough hrs in the day for everything you need to do, it sounds positive that you managed to get a bit of work done at school, hopefully thats a corner turned and your on the home straight.

Just remember one thing, you are a wonderful person, you have a heart of gold, and you are entitled to a life.......

i suppose it depends on how much stress you are prepared to put up with. Personally I would just say that you have been invited away by friends and check into a travel lodge and eat crips all day than go the xmas event that you have described. Or
JUST SAY NO thanks but I will be celebrating at home and if they ask why explain that the way they have christmas does not feel like a celebration to you, and that is what it is meant to be.

Really feel sorry for you. And here was I grumping to myself about always having to be cooking on xmas day....

glad the dr is on your side that is important for you. I hope that getting more sleep will help with the stress levels too

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • I am liking the idea of the Travelodge!

I have decided to try and get lots of School work done before the holidays and have a break at christmas, sadly much of it will be devoted to my doll's house and possibly the garden. One day at my Sister's will be bloody miserable but I intend to take every opportunity to go out and have a drink so hopefully Christmas day will be just like a sunday........

I just have to stay positive. I am going to decorate the dolls house if nothing else!!!

  • Hi Buffy, sorry that you seem to be really going through it at the moment, try to stay positive. Is it ok if I PM you with a couple of book recommendations that I think might help? I know you're a bit busy but if you have some free time let me know and I'll send you a message. They need a bit of explaining first so you don;t think I'm mad, but I hope a fellow self helper will understand!
