  • I haven't posted here in a while!

    ooops.

So next year what challenges am I doing?

    1. 4000 a year (which works out as 333 pounds per month (not including my loan repayments and rent)

    2. I am in the how much can you make from 10 thread....got to have an idea about that.

    3. and I am still in the paper hat challenge (must update)

    I think that is it.

I am still working as a tutor although the Credit crunch may put pay to that plus Avon but having major problems with that (tax crappy Area manager and general lack of customers)

I am doing the scratchcards which are cool, but they aren't going to make the extra money!

need to go tidy room and check off presents. can't be bothered to move.

All of the above from me too Buffy. I think even though the world at large may go to hell in a hand cart next year, we (mser's) have got our act together a year early and will come through better than others. So prepare to be smug.

On the money front. I am going to save up for Amazon vouchers for 2009. I am going to do this by chatting on bingoport.co.uk. God know how they make money but for each 10 word chat you do in the forums, you get 100 points 8000 pts is a £5 voucher for amazon.
If you are interested pm me with your email address and I get a few 100 points for referring you.

cheers love and I hope you had as good a day at your xmas from hell as you could
love and hugs and cheers for 2009

    Hey Buffy

The list of challenges looks good - with all that effort you will be on your way to being debt free.

Keep posting - its nice to see you working towards those goals. 2009 will be your year!

  • Thanks guys xxxx it is lovely to have people post here!

Yep it does seem slightly mad, but I have realised over the last year of my being here, that my debt really does stop me living, even tho I can "afford" to pay it off monthly and take four/five years to do it, it means I can't do anything in the mean time, no holidays, not much visiting of friends and the worry, the pressure on myself (that I wasn't really aware of till other people wrote about it) when ever I want/need to buy things and feeling of never getting anywhere, that all must stop. I am sick of it.

If I paid off my debt I would have around a 1000 pounds to spend each month on nothing (well it would end up being a house first) but I really had NO idea how well paid I was untill I looked at it like that. i know that seems stupid to some people but I looked at what I had after everything had gone - well duh, kinda been spending my good wages for some years in advance now!!

I had said ever since I started here, the very first budget/paying off plan that I would be debt free by dec 09. And I will be. every spare penny will go on the debt. it will go.
