Does anyone have a recipe for a simple sausage casserole I can make in the SC?

I use my slow cooker loads - my kids love sausages which have been made in them. A cheap tin of tomatoes, baked beans, browned sausages, onion, potatoes cut into chunks, carrots (thick slices), water and thicken at end using gravy granules.
My sister adds a cheap tin of veg soup too and says it adds a nice flavour.
As original poster suggests - bung in anything that isn't going to disintergrate - never been disappointed yet!
Chicken curry works well in the slow cooker too.0 -

OP last night I spend hours on the forum looking at how to make a sausage casseroleI am petrified of using the slowcooker our family was given as a gift last Christmas... However today I took it out of the box, washed it, lobbed some carrots, softened onions, browned sausages (the quantity was defined by how many were lurking in my freezer!) 2x tinned tomatoes and 1 x pk of passata. I will nuke a tin of sweetcorn and add some basil when I get home at the same time as preparing some cous cous. If it all goes pear shaped I will feed the kids cheese toasties
I think cooking with a SC is a bit like anything else - you tweak it to your own preference after time - and sorry I realise this post is probably no help at all
ETA - I guess what I am saying is that after spending hours how to make one according to a recipe - I just threw in what looked right...
You may find that your carrots don't get fully cooked.
For all root vegetable (taters, carrots, parsnip, turnip etc) you are recommended to parboil them first .i.e. boil them for about ten minutes.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I just checked and somehow they are ok (although I placed them all on the bottom of the dish and sliced them not too chunky, and cooked on high) Sheer luck that there wasn't a disaster!

Never had a problem with carrots in the slow cooker but I don't make them to chunky.
