Morning everyone!
Well I am sat in a pool of sunshine at my desk having just finished a bowl of cereal. I had to eat it really fast because Treacle the cat was sat an inch from me, trying to get her head into the bowl too to drink the milk. Holding the bowl with one hand and the spoon with the other while attempting to push her away was just too much of a struggle so I ate in superfast time and gave her the bowl so she could have the milk she obviously so desperately needed, despite the lovely Whiskas breakfast she had just eaten!
My poor OH is still in bed suffering. Neither of us slept much, his joints were hurting and his groaning kept waking me. Plus I am really worried about the finances as he is self employed as a DJ three nights a week and it pays more than his daytime job and he obviously cannot work, so we are losing a lot of money tonight alone. Anyway, will go make him a lemsip shortly, he really is feeling bad.
HariboJunkie - glad you all liked the custard cookies!
Freyasmum - Am really pleased your family enjoyed the lemon curd icecream recipe.
Morwenna - lol getting him to the Drs would take a leg falling off and even then he would probably say, oh it just needs a plaster on it...lol
wmf - Awww thank you for worrying honey, that was really sweet of you but I did mean to say that we were alternating paracetamol with lemsip 'cos I had remembered it had paracetamol in it already. I should have been clearer.
Vicky - good luck with the Dr today
rchddap - that must be such a relief! What great news!
Happy Birthday Catznine and anyone else who is celebrating today:beer:
Hugs to all who need them

Good luck Master Taplady, Miss TiredMum & MissTwit for their results today as well!!
Kaatlady, gosh you have been industrious! I would probably like scrabulous on FB, just not had much time recently, but if someone lets me know when they’re next having a go, if I’m around I’ll join in J
Blairweech, I did something like that once – I had accidentally pressed something at the bottom right of the screen that has a percentage number – is it bigger than 100%?? You should be able to click down there again & reduce it…
Shez, the music hall sounds like great fun, glad you all had a good time…
You’ve given me an idea, wonder if I might book Santa for my little niece & treat her & sis to the train fare up (and of course go with them!)
Poppy, hoping that things work out for the visa for you & OH.
Troo, forgot to say cute picture too, really sweet.
MSDiva, your poor OH - sounds like he really should see the doctor - even if to get some anti-inflammatories so his joints don't hurt so much. Or could you have a word with a pharmacist & see what they recommend?
W-Sybil, you & your OH both sound like you need a bit of pampering/rest as well.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -

I'm still a bit upset that I didn't get the latest job I went for. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong in interviews - maybe I should develop a tap dance routine to impress whichever company is next? Twink...I am a lady therefore don't have a pecker!!;);)
[/quote]
Snowy, the company I work for used to do their interviewsw a bit differently, they used to ask you to provide an ice breaker when you walked into the interview, a freind of mine walked in wearing a snoarkal and flippers, and he got the job, perhaps you should try that, sorry to hear you are feeling down xx
Well guess what, its raining here  , no washing out today, it has rained every day of my holiday so far. Its my sisters birthday today and we are going out to lunch, to a nice pub :T , Catznine, Happy birthday to you too   .
Got a sainsbugs delivery coming tonight, and we will have chicken chips and peas for tea, so nice and easy.
Rchddap1, excellent news re your little one, give her a big hug from me, if she will stay still long enough.
Haribo, sorry to hear you are feeling down, hugs xx
Better get on, have a good day all xx0 -

:hello: Mornin
(((((((((HUGS))))))))) to all who need them today and to those who just feel like one.
Sun is shining its lovely, will it last, I am not even going to think about it!!!!
A very quick post this morning, I havent even read through yet, will do later.
went to see MAMMA MIA last night....lost for words, gobsmacked, it was wonderful loved every minute of it:dance:
I cant understand why but there was a girl on the next row playing games on her phone....cant you believe it, why go to the pics if you want to do that
Everything tidy, whites are in for a good boil, hairdresser coming in a bit , and I have to get the bedroom ready for the girls, I am so excited we are having them stay until Tuesday,DS1`s OH is taking him away for 4 days to Barcelona, its for his 40th birthday on Sunday. She asked if we would have the girls they are 4 and 2 so lots of fun, and needless to say we jumped at it:j :j
We are meeting them at Oxford services around 6pm to pick them up. O I cant wait, DS1 said they never slept last night, kept waking up and asking if it was time to go yet, ooooooI luv em to bits.
We have all sorts of things planned, tomorrow its Cadbury World which is only 5mins from here, the old nan`s Saturday morning (they love to see the girls ,both nans are in their 80`s) then the country park and farm later, Drayton Manor on Sunday weather permitting,Toys R Us Monday then afterwards to McDonalds, they only go for treats which is usually with us,;) and they love it, its the only time we go as well so its a treat for us too :rotfl:
This was supposed to be a short post, but I do ramble on when I get on here....ah well never mind.
Back later
Anne

Morning all
Oh what a day so far, in fact, i thinks its carried on from yesterday
We had to sign on again yesterday, no problems there but because its a bank hol on Monday they pay on Friday instead, no problems there, but when they said how much for the fortnight i nearly died.....£73.98 for us both to last 2 weeks  . This is where the problems started...its a joint claim but we sign on seperately, so i go off and see the adviser, he tells me the above, i say thats not right he goes off to see OH's adviser. I know because we still get WTC £43.47 per week they take that off the JSA but it still doesnt give us £94.95 per week, because claim is in my name i have to use their phone to enquire 20 mins in a queue and i get through only to be told that nothing can be done until i phone WTC so i've been on phone again today trying to sort it and now i'm told WTC is paying us £57.96 per week so i dont know where the other £14.49 is and now i dont know where i am....is not the word....The JSA people are going to phone me back....and WTC are going to write to me....Oh boy!!
Sorry for that, just need to get it out of my head or i'll go mad, or is it madder:rotfl:
Anyway off to catch up with the thread.
:grouphug: and :bdaycake: to those celebrating todayPinkPunkBird
