Morning all,
rchddap Great news about Lily.
[/b]SunnyDay[/b] I thought I was going through electric at a rate of knots - it's cause I've had the oven on all week!
[Catznine[/b] Hippo Birdie!
Hmm..whilst i was typing I have hit something that has made my screen HUGE. Tried changing the text size, to no avail.
Got to put the rubbish/recycling out in a minute, then I am off to prison again for the day. I don't think I even have Bank Holiday off...can't moan though as it is double pay.
Have a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Morning everyone!:hello:
Had a great time yesterday at the Brick Lane Music Hall for mums 75th birthday! She really enjoyed it!! good old fashioned singing entertainment and a lovely afternoon tea! I shall definately go back again! They are now in a converted Church, which they have done up beautifully!
I've just booked the Harrods Santa Grotto!!:j (thanks to someone on here who mentioned it) - can't believe you have to do it in August!)
Will take the kids to the fun swim today.
mrsmix - hope its only a temporary phase with yr DD...girls are very up and down arent they? xx
Good Luck to all those waiting exam results today!!

Happy Birthday Catznine!:bdaycake:0 -
Mrs Mix - another person to talk to is the school nurse, we have the telephone number for ours in holiday time. I thought that they were only for going to junior school once in a while but when DD first had bladder problems they were really helpfull. I do think as someone else has said - that they do have so much pressure on them nowdays and I couldnt beleive how many started puberty before they leave junior school. I was 14 and desperate to start (how naive).
My DD is always up and down and to be truthful I was like that myself, I think puberty is a lot to go through. (Still doesnt stop me wanting to scream at her regularly though)
(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs one, and to thoses with poorly OH's.

Morning everyone
Looks like everyone's a lot more bright and early than me today!
Anyway - I had a lovely day yesterday - met a friend at Webbs who treated me to lunch and paid for my plants.......I protested loudly but he insisted which was so sweet of him! We had a really nice day and it was really nice to catch up!
Today I'm going to plant them and hopefully, if the rain holds off, get a load of washing done.
I'm hoping to spend some time online with OH too as he has been so busy since I came back that we have hardly seen each other. We have applied for a visa so I'm hoping he may be able to come over for a while...being apart is taking its toll. However, his mental health has seemed a lot better since what happened in June. As for the visa, I know it's not easy, but we are hoping and praying. It would be nice to have a chance to be together.
I haven't read the thread properly, but happy birthday to catznine, good news about your 'normal' daughter Rchddap, good luck for all awaiting GCSE results and as for interviews, have you been offered a debrief at the end? I think it's worth asking for one if not as often it's something quite simple that you may have taken as read, and you neded to say. I was recently interviewed for two jobs and was advised to state the obvious, even if it seemed too obvious. If all that fails, tap-dance! LOL!!
Anyway, off to read the thread properly, and another cup of tea.
Have a good one everyone.

Morning Happy Birthday Catz.
Dazi, Snowy & all the other job hunters, maybe you should include baking in your CVs and take along a sample of Twinks to impress.
Miss Twit gets her PE GCSE result today, I'd better go and jolly her along to get moving.
Hester have you asked for ideas on the craft/make it thread for christening ideas.
Hug to those in need
Fingers crossed for those getting results.
Love to all The Twit. :grouphug:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Really lovely photo Troo - thanks for posting it - made my day
Birthday cake coming up for Catzine........... :bdaycake: enjoy your day and your meal out tonight
Hope today is a better day for you Sybil. Try not to worry about your DH - when people are overtired they do daft things (like drive in the wrong direction - done it myself)
Rchddap1 - so pleased about your news of your little one. Something to celebrate indeed
JackieO - was thinking about your hairdo - glad you enjoyed getting it cut
(((hugs))) to those who need/ want
I've stripped our bed and the WM is on. Moved the livingroom furniture around yesterday because the settees are getting soft bits where we sit. Must do some more housework today as Tuesday will creep round all too quickly and I'll be back at work.
Didn't sleep well last night and I'm someone who doesn't do well on lack of sleep. It makes me anxious. Hopefully if I keep myself busy today I'll be tired enough to sleep tonight.
Taking young dog to vet after all as her stomach rash was a lot worse last night and she looked unsettled. I think that unsettled me before I went to bed.
Other plans include a little bit of food shopping and a trip to the library.
Sounds good to me.
Have a good day all

Morning all, blue skies here with a strange ball of light.
Was up at 4.20, was tossing and turning so much I woke DH so got up and read my book, am half way through A Thousand Splendid Suns. Feeling so tired but have lots to do. I'll bake DD and SiL to be a steak/onion pie, mash and veg drop it off when seeing to their labs. I cook their dinner and make packed lunches twice a week. Our dinner will be lemon chicken cous cous and salad.
Went to Aldi y/day, first time ever, I spent 83.67. REDROSY I bought the silicone liners. Got lots of bargains for the cupboard and freezer, was impressed with the prices but didn't realise they don't take visa. Someone (can't find their post) also suggested the A angus burgers, got them for 1.69 for 4.
Got 4 boxes of large wall tiles for utility from B&Q 9.99p a pack, DH saw their sale advert in paper today, they're down to £5 on Sat so will return them today and re buy on Sat.
Today I need to oil all the garden furniture before storing as I think summer is over, it needs doing either way.
SQUIGGLEY, It must have been a hard day for all concerned ((hugs)). Thanks for enquiring about DB2, he went to Oncologost y/day, have tried phoning but no answer, will try a bit later. By the way, you DID make sense in your post y/day.
VICKI, hope Drs. goes well and you get sorted.
MUMMYSAVER, We like Dunster also.
RCHDDAP, glad DD is ok.
JACKIO, Don't over do it, sounds like you'r gonna be busy.
SYBIL, DH sounds very stressed, you both need (((hugs)))
CANDYGIRL, hope DDAD'S test went ok, can't understand why a nurse could't do a home visit.
CATZNINE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY._party_
((((((((( Hugs)))))))))) PENPIN, MRS MIX, SMOKY and all in need.0
