morning all. came back from hols early yesterday. dd had been ill in the tues night and what with the rain and the wind we decided to come home. a shame but never mind, staying in a tent with gale force winds is not much fun, although the kids still had a great time! did we skip summer this year and go straight into autumn???
lots of washing to do here today and no chance of drying it so off to laundrette today!November NSD's - 70 -
Good Morning All

Troo - on tuesday I sent our our NI & Tax cheques - but think I didnt seal the envelope - am waiting to hear from them.
Very wet outside although is not raining at the moment, will check the forcast in a minute and the decide whether to do some washing or not.
Today will be doing a bit of everything, will definately finish the ironing this morning - did loads yesterday.
Have a loaf in the breadmaker and will try out the kenwood slicer which arrive yesterday, then I need to sort some cupboards out to make room for it.
Need to go to Makros to get some more food/drink for the party saturday, will also try to get to Mr T so can use my £5 voucher. So basically will be very busy today.
Not sure whats for dinner, think will pick something up whilst out.
Have a good one.

Good morning.
Feeling a little run down, but not nearly as washed out as yesterday. I was a little concerned, but I know that I can always ask the lovely neighbours to watch little bear. Dear heart is so stressed and exhausted he got lost on the way home. He has been working at the firm for several months, but he found himself driving in a completely different direction.
So I plan to take each hour as it comes. Perhaps sneaking in five minutes here and there at the ironing.
Hardup Hester - if you would like a suggestion for a Christening present, Marks & Spencer do a toddler bible. We got one given for little bear from dear heart's posh auntie, and it does look lovely. Or you could be very snooty and get a posh prayer book from Wesley Owen. I believe they do Christening bibles and prayer books. Little bear's Christening brought out a weird and wonderful selection of presents,

Morning all,
GCSE results day!!!!!!!! Something much more positive for DD to think about (I hope!) She says she’s not worried (and I think she now realises life is too short...). I’ve told her numerous times I know she’s done her best & that’s all I ask. If she doesn’t get the grades for her college course it’s not the end of the world, she’ll just do the foundation level one first. As I said she’ll still get to the same place in the end, just a different way round…. But I think it’ll be fine. She’s going round to school at 11ish. So GOOD LUCK to all those others getting their results today as well J
Sunnyday, you must have a very comfy sofa…Sounds like you’re being very industrious with all your baking!
Sistercas, hope your sofa was comfy too, esp as you were forced onto it..
VickyA, hope you get on ok at the doctors this morning.
Betheebee, when was your DB seeing the Oncologist – was that today too?
Snowy, sorry none of the interviews have been successful yet, it is so hard to stop yourself from feeling down when it goes like that & you have to take a guess at what each company might want….It’s not you though – it’s just that those jobs weren’t right for you – or they already had someone in mind but just had to be seen to be interviewing…. The right one will come up for you.
Troo – that must have been a moment of panic!!!! Good news you can retrieve the envelope… I’m surprised too at that.
Essex-Girl, fingers crossed you manage to retrieve yours or it arrives safely…
Rchddap – what excellent news – jelly & ice-cream at the party then?
Catznine, Happy Birthday!!!!!! Have a lovely day.for everyone that needs them to.
Edit: MrsMix, my youngest DD is 12 next month, and she can be very "up" and "down" (has been for a long time...). I don't know if it's all to do with them hitting puberty younger, plus the combination of SATS & other pressures at school, etc. And it's not daft at all if speaking to the GP makes them aware & puts your mind at rest perhaps. (((((hugs)))) to you both.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Morning chums what a grey hrotty looking day it is at the moment .i have to take one of my grandsons to a fishing workshop today .Jack,8 bless him asked if I could put the maggots on the line for him !!! in a word, no way, I am hoping the ranger who takes the boys will do all that. I am a bit squeemish about impaling wriggy live things in a line .
Its at a local wild life park at Capstone and the lads have all the equipement and a teacher for three hours to see if they will like fishing as a hobby Its a good idea as it savs buying all the gear and then finding out that the lad doesn't like it.It only cost £8.50 so it won't break the bank His elder brother had a go a couple of years ago and loves it.
Well I had my little snip and it was lovely My big daft DD watched me with tears in her eyes ,she's such a softie at heart She was so pleased to see her Mum with hair and having a trim to her, meant I was really getting better and back to normal. My hair is like a little lambs wooly coat at the moment and has grown back in very dark ,but with a lots of white in it .its strange as I have always had fair hair as well, I look a bit like a zebra at the moment with my two-tone bits but I don't mind,at least its there at long last .I don't have to wear my scarves or hats anymore which is brilliant .
I have a busy week-end and week coming up I have my lovely sis-in-law from Bromley arriving on Satrurday until Tuesday, and then on Wednesday I have a friend from Dartford coming for the day ,and then last night another friend and her husband, whom I haven't seen for 5 years, are dropping in for three days on Wednesday night on their way back from Hampshire to Essex to see me. Its going to be a busy week.
Tommorow I will take my eldest DD to Bluewater as I want to buy some new net curtains and shes very good at helping me choose.I shall probably treat us to lunch out as well as it's not often I get to treat her as she normally works full time, but she is still on holiday from school at the moment. So I think my budget will get a bit of a hammering this week, but I don't mind it's nice to feel normal again .
<<hugs to those in need >> and a big smiley face to the rest of you
