  • Hi

This is my first post so sorry if I mess it up!

I'm trying to think of ways to make some extra cash for the xmas period, and was considering being a rep - either Ann Summers or Virgin Vie (not a candle party rep or tuppaware cos that doesnt float my boat!!)

Does anyone have any experience of this or any advice??

    Thanks!

I am currently an Ann Summers Party Organiser. If you are thinking about joining, then pass your information onto me and will get you signed up. Its a great job, lots of money, flexible, rewarding, fun - everything you want from a job. Where abouts are you in the UK?

  • I am currently an ann summers rep and have been for a while so I'd like to clear a few things up.

To begin Ann Summers became payment on the night in June 06 but recently changed back to payment on delivery as they were losing custom. While it was payment on the night some organisers still accepted money on delivery with a small deposit (usually £5 or 10% of order) to try and discourage cancelled orders.

There is no outlay for ann summers. You receive a kit worth £500 + (Mine was £521 cash value!!!!) and pay £3.50 a week for 32 week or until you have banked £1200. Everyone I know has acheived this within 2 months.

Parties are quite easy to get if you start with family and friends and spend some time canvassing (I just stick leaflets in doors, or pay my young brother £10 to do it for me). You can also have parties passed to you from your Unit Organiser.

A lass I know does Ann Summers and loves it. I know someone who works for Virgin Vie but buys some products off Ebay etc as she makes more money that way.
One day I might be more organised...........

I know quite a few people that have done AS and they've all been disappointed with it, one off sales and they've had to work really hard to get new customers. They're not 'consummable' items i.e. one off purchases so there's no repeat business - all the peeps I know packed up after a while.

  • Hi there, I have just read your question about ann summers. I am a rep, I didnt want to do it but a friend bullied me into it, now I make too much money to give it up, I make over £100 a night, ann summers provide you with a kit worth £500. and if you are really serious about it you can even get a company car, taxed, tested and insured by ann summers, you do have to have an open mind, but its a great laugh. Lots of people slate ann summers, but those people either havent done it or havent put any effort in, money doesnt fall into your lap you have to work for it but I dont know anyone who gets paid £50+ an hour. Hope this helps anyone who is thinking about earning some extra dosh

Hi I did Body shop for 6 months. You had to pay for your kit £100, for catalogues and accessories ie party invitations and travel expenses. Commission is 25% and over 30% over £1000 worth of sales. You need 6 parties booked before your kit is ordered. If you don't use Body Shop when you leave Body Shop products sell really well on Ebay new or used.
