Aldi's salmon tortelli is lovely. It's in the fresh pasta section of the chiller.

Ah thanks, I must give that a try. We've already tried the mushroom and the basil/cheese varieties both of which are also pretty good.

Yes apologies for misleading I didn't mean SunPat was a Lidl brand I meant it was on the shelves.Sorry for posting it that way.

you should buy the route 66 anyway, it's better than sunpat if you like crunchy, and cheaper too :D

Lidl are running an offer on Pampers sensitive wipes, a 2pk for £3.31 (or £3.35?) BOGOF which is great value.

Don't go very often, as the nearest store is about 2 miles away, but Lidl can be a real treat!! ;)

    Things to Buy:-

Premium Farmhouse Bread - nice texture and flavour
    Black Cherry Jam
    Luxury Swiss Muesli
    Jaffa Cakes equivalents!
    Tortilla Chips

    Olive Oil
Garden curry sauce (glass jars, Madras in particular)
Indian and Thai Curry dishes from the chiller cabinet (these are made by the Noon factory in Uxbridge, which supplies Sainsbury's, Waitrose, that nice department store Food Hall in Paris - is it Galleries Lafayette or Printemps??!, etc, etc)
Frozen Roast Chicken Dinners (same as Bird's Eye, only at half the price)

    Steak Mince
    Pork Loin Medallions
    Dry-Cure Bacon
    Premium Ham
    Parma Ham
    Black Forest Ham

Fruit and Veg can be a bit hit 'n' miss, but at least you can see exactly what you're buying.

Not keen on the Basmati Rice (too hard), sundried tomatoes (flavourless) and fresh sausages (very fatty).

    Impressed

They do sell cat litter, I buy it for my mum.....I mean, my mum's cat.

I think it's a 8 or 10 litre bag and it has been 99p before, but I think that was a special offer and that it's normally £1.50ish. I not sure how good it is compared to other brands, but it seemed okay to me when I was looking after the cat. As I recall, it comes in a blue bag with a black cat on it.

    HTH

    My top buys from Lidl:-
    4pack kitchen towel £1.29
Cien sensitive baby wipes 99p (best wipes ever)
30m aluminium foil cheap yet good quality
    Bourbon biscuits
    Oriental rice crackers

I agree - the cat litter's good stuff. It clumps well which is important and the bag isn't too heavy for me to lug, what with me bad back :rolleyes2

I want to put in a special mention for the lidl chocolate lolly ice creams - they're like Magnums but obviously a lot cheaper and frankly far better. The chocolate is really nice and the vanilla ice cream is gorgeous and you can see the vanilla seeds in it so it's the real thing. My favourites are the milk choc, plainchoc, white choc, white with strawberry chunks, milk with almond and double choc, there may be more but Ihaven't tried them yet.
The bars of chocolate are great too esp the ones with the small squares, the choc and strawberry yoghurt and coffe creams are good.
On real food, we love the frozen breaded fish and I'm fond of the feta cheese.
Just call me Nodwah the thread killer
