Has anybody mentioned Lidl's recycled loo roll? I used to buy Nouvelle x4 for about £1.95 from Asda, but in Lidl you get 10 rolls (admittedly slightly smaller) for about £1.80. Kitchen roll is good too, but not recycled.0

My mother, my boyf and boyf's mum always try to fob me off with this, they reckon that they can't taste the difference!! Even though it's vile and doesn't even spread properly.
Obviously we are true Marmite connoisseurs!! :rotfl:
Howalsh - It's Lidl doing loads of coffee stuff on offer this week, expresso cups, cafetieres, etc... My mum's getting me lots of go with my shiny new fancy coffee machine0 -

skincare range called Q10, fantastic value moisturiser, nicely packaged a quality product at an amazingly low price
bourbon vanille ice cream is absolutely delicious
tinned cat food
they sometimes have wonderful little choc covered almonds...
pork chops, fresh and frozen good
cava brut less than £4 and its good
veg is cheap, but inspect carefully
cheeses of all kinds, including dutch and parmesan at low prices
don't buy
tinned veg soup
The "Q10" moisturiser from Lidl is absolutely the best bargain on the planet.
I have suffered from all sorts of skin conditions (Rosacea, exczema - u name it!) .. and have tried all sorts of expensive moisturisers. Many of these have brought me out in spots and have been most unsatisfactory ... despite the huge expense. The Lidl "Q10" moisturisers (day creaam and night cream) come in expensive looking little pots ... but only cost £1.89 (I think .. could be £1.79 ... but hey ...!).
I buy this stuff in bulk ... it is REALLY GOOD STUFF!!

The belgian lager is actually Stella and the highland black whiskey is Johnny Walker Black Label. I know this from a very, very reliable internal source.
Johnnie Walker do not sell off or bottle spirit to supermarkets or anyone else - from an even more reliable source !!0 -
big slabs of turkey breast - great for packed lunches on lidl's torilla wraps, fruit and veg usually excellent and cheap, but number 1 - bin bags (sadman) - very strong and 99p for 10 :beer:0

Mark Beech!
I buy those moisturisers too. they are absolutely brilliant for the price. You dont need loads and it gets into your skin very quickly! My choice anytime! OH uses their shower gels and they are great! Their hair conditioner is fine IMO, but the shaving blades are going so quickly that it works out to be as expensive as the real stuff. Their fabric conditioner: you need to put a lot into it to make your clothes smell of something!
Also their washing powder is good, so are the liquitabs! Creamed rice pudding is fab as well and very cheap! they now have Mueller corner types of yogies... All their yogies and cheese and dairy are brill too.
As for the vegs not lasting enough... Well, we usually buy our food on saturday monrings and I have a massive cooking session straight away: I cook for the entire next 2 weeks for the both of us. So it does not really matter.
With fruits not lasting, well we bought some apples from Sainsbury's thinking they would last longer. WRONG!
I just bought their Targa VCR on Monday night. it works fab! nothing fancy about it but it has everything you need and only costs 45 pounds! We can finally record our fav shows and movies on telly! Silly TV people putting good stuff after we are to go to bed: stuff you!"Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye

Thank you everyone we don't have a local LIDL (well I haven't found one yet) so went to try the one near where my Dad lives (70 miles away so couldn't get anything frozen).
Stocked up on Christmas goodies - Gluhwein £2.99 Chocolate hearts and lots of fancy pickles for a luxury OAP hamper for my posh mother in law for Xmas And joy of my life Cherry juice (yum yum) and Stollen (started it already) Also tinned herring in sauce 59p and pepperoni salami at 69p (Tesco etc 90p+)
Hope I can find one a bit nearer.0
