  • hi. Wonder if someone can help. I need to get my phone line down to the summerhouse sop I have a phone for this job.

Someone has mentioned about using a VOIP? Is this possible but i don't really understand it. If possible is it easier than running some external telephone cable down the garden to my summerhouse. I start on the 29th so don't have much time

    thanks

  • Hey there, you need a broadband connection to login to the software that TeleTech uses to connect you to their network - so I'd be very surprised if Voice over IP would allow you to connect! The reason you need a broadband connection is that it's not just a voice link but a data link over a private network that you connect into.

Also one more thing it'd be worth checking the distances you're running the extension cable over as there are maximum distances over which the connection can become slow!

Good luck! TeleTech is a great company which really cares about it's employees, sure you'll enjoy working for them.

VOIP won't work, also have you got a BB connection in the summerhouse already? If not how are you going to get it there? You need a physical phone socket in the work area and you need a stable BB/ ADSL line that runs at least 2Mb for the software to work correctly.

Either you're having a laugh, or this is a sarcasm thread.

    Hi All,

I applied and was accepted at Teletech in late November, but could not work at the weekends.

I would like to re-apply, do I need to go through the process again or can I just ring the free-phone number and enquire??

I was given a Hirepoint ID and ID and Password but cant seem to log on to the Hirepoint website??

    Can anyone direct me Please?

    Thanks you

That is what I thought thanks for that. Got all the cables organised now.

I would expect you need to go through the process again, the only good thing is your details will be on record and they will see the only reason you did not accept last time was the weekend working. As to who we work for it is actually mentioned a couple of times in the thread but it's a British ADSL ISP that also supplies TV and telephony services.

I start on Monday as well :D

Tomorrow I have to get a wired phone as I only have a DECT at the moment, should be bargain price in the sales.

Good Luck and might see you there.
