  • And Timewarper, did you ever get any response from them re your training?
They are arranging to phone me again to discuss things.

I've decided my recruiter is either new and still training or is disillusioned and doesn't give a fig, either way she is seriously trying my patience now....
and if I am asked again if I am still interested in applying I think it will be worth buying a plane ticket to pay her a visit and tattoo it on her derrière.

    Hi Everyone,

I spent most of yesterday going through this thread (and the other one on the forum!), and finding out all I could about TeleTech.

I did come across a few disgruntled applicants/employees but on the whole, I thought it was worth giving them a go.

I filled in my application yesterday for Sales - and got a phonecall about 10 minutes ago, asking me if I was still interested and could I do a telephone interview tomorrow afternoon! Talk about quick! Lol!

I have admit, I did find it a tad hard to understand the girl who phoned me (I don't think she was American, but I couldn't quite place her accent) so I'm a bit apprehensive about the interview now incase it happens again. My interviewer tomorrow is Caroline/Carolyn Brady so if anyone has been interviewed by her and could possibly give me a heads up, it'd be much appreciated!

Also, they mentioned needing people to start as soon as SATURDAY! Has anyone else heard this?

    Hey All

I applied mid November and completed my online assesments and have spoken to my recruiter who advised me i'd been scheduled for my telephone interview Monday 1st Dec at 4:15pm.

However this date has been and gone, and no phone call no nothing.

I have called through to Teletech every day since, but still not heard a thing.

    Anyone else had this?

Makes me wonder if they are any good to work for if this is how you are treated!!

    Hi Caz,

I applied on Monday, got a phone call on Tuesday and had my telephone interview this afternoon. I was sent the assessments yesterday and completed those.

The recruiter I spoke to, advised they are only recruiting for tech/customer service positions at the moment.

Training for that begins on 15th December.

My recruiter went through training, hours, pay etc and said she would contact me in the next 2-3 days either by phone or email. She also emailed me a job description and training schedule...but I don't know if that means I have got the job, or what!

Have you tried going to the website and contacting live support?
  • Im due to start training 15th too, have to fill out the forms etc all very quick.

Only thing im worried about is my credit rating is not good at all, im so worried I will get turned down.

Ive checked the Experian form is not credit check, do they do one? I havent got my new starter pack yet but am aware there is a fnancial section on there.

So can anyone confirm if they do a credit check and also has anyone else been able to get employed with not a great rating?

Ive had no fraud and have all the other documents they need ;(

Im an honest guy and feel really worried about it at moment, any advice would be appreciated as

They do a credit check as you are working with peoples credit cards details etc- but most people take this job on to help supplement wages and help out financially. They are aware that some people (probably most of us lol) have some debt and some have poor credit- don't worry too much about this. sent you a pm too

I have to admit, it's the one thing that worries me also. My credit rating is shot to hell (incl. one CCJ which I have a payment plan for).

Maybe I won't be getting this job after all... :(

UPDATE: Just had a phone call from my recruiter - and have been made an official job offer! She didn't seem too bothered about the bad credit rating so I guess I'll just need to keep my fingers crossed!

I think it depends on your recruiter - I think you may have the same one as me.

I did get my phone call and was promised faithfully I would receive an email on Wednesday with a firm offer to start with Tech Support in December... she didn't know dates, but looking at the posts here it is the 15th!!
I still haven't had the email, and going on previous experience of promised emails if I send a polite email requesting the info it is either ignored or a really snotty one sent back.

This is beyond a joke now and I am contemplating the usefulness of sending a complaint about the recruiter to HBO@Home :(

I was supposed to have a telephone interview on the 5th in the evening but didn't get a phone call. Anyone know what the salary is like?

If it's the tech support role it's £6 per hour.
