Hi,
I had a look at the TeleTech website, but it is not clear to me what exactly the job is. can you explain it to me.
Thanks0 -
Hi
anyone out there who can tell me what 'nesting' means? And if I start on 1 dec training, when will I be paid?
Also with a background check and as it is not an enhanced disclosure, does it matter that I did some stupid things in my past.0 -

On the back ground check issue i would say it depends on what the basic disclosure comes back with and if convictions are spent or not. Anything unspent would have to be disclosed during the application process i guess same as any other employer they would consider the convictions before a job offer is made.
Convictions "spent" do not have to be disclosed and will not appear on the basic disclosure this depends on the nature of the past crimes if you serve a custodial sentance of more than 2.5 years this never becomes spent. If you feel there might be a possibility of something coming back on the basic disclosure i would advise you make the company aware of this.
you can find more information on this issue of Spent and Unspent convictions via this link i would also contact Nacro who will advise you on what convictions would be classed as spent and unspent

thank you, I do not have any unspent convictions lol and this makes me sound like a real criminal lol. Years ago when I was a teenager we were messing about and a pot plant went missing, would you believe it went to court and we were charged with theft! That was 1988, and then in 2006 a caution as I went to get my debit card from my coat pocket in my car, left my othe shopping AND my handbag with everything else in it at the customer service desk, but forgot to put the water jug down as I was reading the box! So no unspent convictions just two incredibly unlucky stupid mistakes! I have since checked on the crb scottish disclosure website.0

Nesting is the period after your 3 week training were you go 'live' and take calls-there will always be someone to help you if you need it. It usually lasts for 2 weeks. You get paid every fortnight- we are due to be paid on 5th december so not sure whether you will get it then or have to wait until 19th dec. You will also be refunded your £20 for the Scottish disclosure statement- usually in your first wages.
The criminal check is quite basic- you are working with peoples credit cards etc and obviously if you were convicted of fraud it might be a problem. A lot of people have done silly things in their youth and as long as it is not serious crime I think you will be ok.Auddel0 -

Yes you get paid for training and you get paid fortnightly -on a friday into your bank accountAuddel0 -
Right then - well I have completed my assessments and I have just had an interview over the telephone. She was a really lovely lady and she seemed really pleased with everything and said I would fit right in (she probably says that to everyone!). I just have a couple of questions I wonder if some of you guys that actually work there could answer
She said that was room to progress within the company - is there anyone on here who has moved upwards and still works from home?
Has anyone worked for this company for a while now - are they a good company to work for?
Weekend working - she said that you are entitled to holiday after your 90 day probation period, and that the other option is you may be able to swap with somebody - this may sound really daft but we have a touring caravan and we like the odd weekend away (probably once every couple of months), would it be easy enough to cover a Saturday morning if that was one of my shifts?
And lastly - my little girl goes to school next year so is there the option to change your shift pattern if different shifts are available? I would imagine the day shifts get offered to the current staff first
Sorry, one more - is the overtime paid at your normal hourly rate or do you get time and a half - and if your shifts fall on a Monday and that happens to be a bank holiday monday - do you still have to work, if yes, do you get paid extra?
So many questions, but I am just staying on the side of caution as I would actually have to give up a job to take this job.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :AOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
