first thing auddel, have you set the bios to boot from CD
do you get the workbooth screen up with the black and white
    picture, before the penguins?

Oliver-Yip went into F2 and set boot from CD. I do get the black and white screen and it shows the few lines of writing and loading linux - then just get grey screen where penquins meant to be.

At the boot options screen (the black screen with the picture of the agent, try the following codes. After each code, hit enter and then let WorkBooth load. They are to be entered exactly as shown including any spaces, try them one by one till you find one that
    fixs the issue, fingers crossed

    linux acpi=off pnpbios=off noapic noapm
    linux failsafe
    linux noagp
    linux noddc
    linux xserver=XFree86
    linux xserver=XF86_SVGA
    linux xmodule=vesa

I doubt if you would be the only person working for TT that is on a debt management plan of some kind, I would guess a large percentage of the current TT agents have come from this site so there must be a few that are financially hindered at the moment.
  • Well I have just completed assessments dont think I did very well, I kept pressing buttons without realising and then it went onto next question, also why is it that when somebody asks you to find something on the computer, something you do a hundred times a day probably, your mind goes a complete blank, and the typing test even though I am a fast typist it seemed to go off before I barely had time to type a sentence.

A couple of questions for somebody please and if its been asked before I apologise too many posts to read. My computer failed the test saying I have no cd drive but I have, having read some of the information I assume its because I am on dial up at the moment - if so how do you change to ethernet (what is this?) and what is the likely cost?? I am actually changing to wireless soon which I know is also not supported does anybody know if you can switch back and forth (i.e. at start and end of shift) and what that means in terms of paying my internet supplier i.e. will I have to pay for dialup/wireless and ethernet (whatever it is) and also I read somewhere you cant use cordless phone (all of which I have typical!!!) when I change to wireless I will have a 2nd phone via a livebox would this be compatible???

Also I received an email telling me to complete uncompleted sections on my application, but only the ones I had already completed came up, does anyone know how to sort this out, or can you email somebody the information as you cannot reply to the emails they have sent telling me to complete it.

I have now spent almost my entire morning on this, phew fed up!!! and

    Thank you anybody who answers!!!!!!
  • I've just had my 1st interview & will be doing the teleconference on Monday. One quick question regarding training, is it 3 weeks and then a week of nesting (whatever that may be)? If so, does the nesting follow the same schedule as training, ie start and finish at the same time? I need to arrange childcare as the training starts at 3:30pm.

    Many thanks in advance.

Sorry thats all I can really suggest, maybe worth asking on the Knoppix
forum as thats what the Workbooth disc is based on
    http://www.knoppix.net/forum/

its unlikely but have you tried a spare WB disc?
