A real work at home job part 2

My main issue is the way the whole project has gone downhill since it started.
The holiday situation is frankly laughable, the complete ignorance on the part of management over anything they are sent an enquiry about, the way "certain" team leaders seem to have a bigger say over things than others, and shove their own team members forward for things whether they are qualified or not, the inflexibility of shifts (although we are now being offered earlier hours when they are desperate), the constant tech issues, which I know are unavoidable, but that NEVER seem to be resolved, different rules and bonuses for @home staff compared to other TT staff, the way the targets keep shifting to the point where its almost impossible to achieve them, and the fact that "We Hear You" on Hirepoint seems to have gone completely deaf.
As for staff turnover, I might have agreed 6 months ago it was reasonable, but now, people are just upping and leaving practically in groups because they are so disappointed at the way things are going.
In essence, its a good project, but at the moment, they must know they have a largely disgruntled workforce, and the complete ignorance being displayed towards them isn't conducive to keeping staff.0 -
I agree entirely with what Sanity and StormSurge have to say - I said as much back in April and like these 2 posters got shot down by Rachael and Co.
Nice to see that Paul and Oliver are finally pulling their heads out of the sand as regards the overall shabby treatment of employees.
Oh and how do you feel about your new 16 year old TL? Bet that one irks....0 -

excellent, ive recently had to leave a call centre and relocate to my parents due to stress from a high pressure sales position unrealistic targets and pressure from the boss etc.
So ive applied for the customer services role, which would be ideal, As i have worked for bt before doing broadband support and have done call centre management.
passed my assesments straight away very good marks, and have final interview moneday, missed out the group session is this normal ?,
I could get the my disclosure scotland online, do they refund in your first weeks wages if you do ?, Also how much is it to verify your id with solicitor ?Wannabe DFW NERD: Not fully fledged member yet !

Hi jake
you may still be asked to attend the group session before been fully accepted for the job
its just to make sure you know what working from home will be like.
If you recieved your disclosure scotland and send it in as soon as possible you could recieve it in your first wage slip altho some members of my group had to wait a while.
I had my ID verified for £5 but i've heard some paying up to £20 or more. best thing is to ring round and ask solicitors how much they would charge first.
Good luck and i hope you get the job and i hope working from home works for you!

So, in summary: Which is the best home job?0

not being funny it was the lack of time off that made me leave i booked time and couldn't change what i was doing a couple of time, took it as unapproved then started to get my t/l having a go about my time keeping etc, when it wasn't my fault..i loved the job, and wanted to move over to sales but wasn't allowed so i had to leave. if people had been a bit more honest on this site before i proberly wouldn't have bother to go for the job in the first place. but u live and learn0

I put in a holiday request on Tuesday and received an email back today saying it had been accepted. This is for November and I expected to wait for ages after some of the horror stories I have heard about. However it was very straightforward. Perhaps they have realised they need to improve on this aspect of the job in order to keep agents..0
