I never did the group session Jake-I think they like you to do it if it fits in but it doesn't seem to be a must do.

Oh and "DollyDiva" if you feel the need to confuse by using my real name DO try and spell it correctly !!

    Hi there,
my first post so a hello to everyone.......
im really intrigued by the @home jobs and have been following the forum threads on it, i dont know if ive overlooked a post or two but i have a question:
Do you need a second phoneline for an @home job? my partner will hopefully be working from home soon with her new business so getting one wont be an issue if its needed.
    any help much appreciated,
    regards,
    steve.

You can use your normal phoneline and don't necessarily need a second one, but if your partner is going to be needing to use it as well, then another one would be worthwhile. as it is tied up for the duration of every shift.

Could your partner use a mobile number for her business, as Sanity says your land line will be tied up during your shift and will give an engaged tone?

Virgin gave me a second line for free (no installation or rental) as part of my package (Erm obviously I didn't mention WHO I'd be working at home for though !!!) When I started the job I just called up and said I needed a second line and was checking if they or BT would give me the best deal so they repriced my package so I was paying less but getting a second line included.

  • Hi,
Thanks for the replies, she can use her mobile and most of the time thats fine,i just think the convenience of a second line might have to be considered though.
Just one more question...i take it weekends are compulsory?
    many thanks,
    steve.

At the moment I believe they ask for 1 day at the weekend as compulsory but it's been a while since I went through the shift bid process. One of our more recent joiners may be able to confirm it.

    hey guys,

well i got my cd, and come to an issue,

it loads up to the point i press enter to boot, get the 2 penguins all good im thinking,

then gets to scanning for usb/firewire devices and stays there for ages the hard drive light is going mad, doesnt return any errors, but havent left it mega long.

Tried the linux nodma but still the same.

Got a usb keyboard and mouse which work fine, bog standard wired ones, Tried without them still same,

Also removed my tv card out that machine, so just graphics card in and no firewire anyway

    Any suggestions guys ????????????

Dont quite get what you mean?

if you mean out of the two teletech jobs then depends
what your better at Selling or Helping.

Sorry- I meant in general. Which company provides the best work? I'm not really interested in working in telephone help/selling.
